Here is a pic showing my subframe with a set of sidemounts attached.
At the widest setting these are 420mm wide.
I would say that would be fine as they can lean at out slightly to accommodate.
The other option is a 90 degree sidemount, these give extra width and are used on wider fitment...
I've been asked a lot lately about designing adaptors to lower standard seats, the truth is its not worth spending money on design and then manufacturing them as they wouldn't sell.
The half leather seats are worthless at the moment and adaptors would be atleast £160 a set.I personally can't...
Most of the sidemounts will mount to my subframes but you do need to make sure they are compatible with your seat mounting homes and also the width of the seat and position on the subframe.
I can supply you with one of my VBD Clio X-Low subframes.
This bolts directly to the floor of your car.
You can either bolt your sidemounts or runners onto it before fitting your bucket seats.
Price is £130 for two or £70 for a single.

Love the GP.Dont think I could use a MK1 though,be scared of ruining it
Love the new one,and wouldn't feel like I was abusing a classic.
Sadly can't afford one so will keep dreaming.
It might be worth getting the bolts in the transfer box checked.
They can cause knocking on the front as they periodically come loose and eventually shear.
Plenty of threads in MLR you can read up on.

Pulled it out for a quick clean today.Been sat since August so was pretty dirty.
Lads of jobs to do before I get to use it,hopefully the next few months should see it ready.
Cheers

I can supply my VBD Clio X-Low subframes to solve your height problem.
They are £130 for two collected from Merseyside or plus £16 posted to mainland UK.
Before you throw oodles of cash at it I would take a good look at the rear chassis legs.
Remove the rear bumper and have a gander inside, obviously look from underneath too,if it's been under sealed you may be best to remove some and have a proper look.
In the last two weeks I've sold a pair of...
I think the OMP subframe needs to be raised by 19mm if I remember correctly.
The best way is to just shim it up a little at a time until it's all level.
