it is possible to connect the drive directly ud need a 1.8" drive adapater but has for reading the drive i dont , know ud have to google and see if other have had some success
u sure u`ve put it back together correct???, make sure hd connection and screens plugged in
i dont think the pc can access the ipod if the battery hasnt got some charge in it
aint 4th gen the proper old one, maybe they changed the connection pins ,
Best look at the head units manual or source a pdf one and see what it says regarding it
only way to get it off the ipod if its def broke is to take thte hd out and put in another
when u plug the usb or charger in does it show the battery charge.

out side would be only option really for neatest, any other way would have a cable showing either down the wall from loft , or up the wall from living room , providing that u can go straight up.

if u have cable in loft how does it get to one of the other rooms on same floor or down stairs, could always split that then go under flooring
well ive had it on n80, then n95 nokia conversations, its ok when u`ve forgot what youve actually been sending over past few sms`s its free off there site so should work on most symbian s60`s
had vista on me mates 1.7gig laptop and i hated it, litrally detested it. Slow kept pausing just completely inusable. Typing on screen was delayed when just switching between msn windows.
Got it on this laptop 2gigx2 and its fine. Odd time it goes delayed but only under allot of hammer. So...
are u wanting to run files from the cd or simply download from cd
if u are just wanting to access it u could set the drive up on a ftp, then withing windows connect to the drive as a remote location
over clocked is where u buy say a 2gig cpu and run it at 2.2gig
you could run software to use full cpu usage and if it resets / dies quicker, then it could be fan on cpu etc thats broke. Try lookin in bios just after it dies to see what it says for cpu temp

try the drive in another pc, only other thing is scan disk it and see if that could resolve it. tbh i wouldnt trust a single back up, All my images are on laptop , network drive , and uploaded to photobucket as a last resort.
logitech dino / edge + logitech mouse, not cheap but there exellent
u can actually use a mac keyb on pc but i think its missing the alt / windows keys. but they are replaced with diff icons, search online theres a few articales about them , duno if the usb hub works though
if yer booting from a sata hd, have this set before any ide devce, also make sure in adv setup the ide`s are set to automatic rarther then specify whats connected to the cable
