FLOL. Yep, basically. 4 big bolts either side. Lower shock bolts. Brake cAlipers off to save the handbrake cables. The headlight level sensor. Brake lines. Then it'll come out...
Yeah, no worries mate. If you can competently fit front shocks, a rear beam drop is no worse..
Obviously it's a big heavy lump so could probably do with some extra hands to help.
Biggest PITA is bleeding the brakes afterwards IMO.

£23 a side for Sachs ones.
1 bolt and 1 nut to swap them over.
I almost fell over, lol.
Guy rang me and the first thing i asked him was 'how long is the list? do i need to sit down?' and he said it was top notch. Had a root around for rust while he was under there and there isn't a spec, which i was also pretty chuffed with!
LOL. It gets whatever Magic plays at the minute, because BMW weren't kind enough to pre-think iPod connectivity. All is in hand though:
Yep- definitely mate. I'll be about from 10.30 or so...
As above, bear. If you need picking up, let me know. xx
Oh you.
Not sure i can this week mate...
Will be getting a deep clean tomorrow, weather depending so will try and take some nicer pics tomorrow.
Also happen to be winning a 325 touring on ebay at the minute, lol. We'll see what comes of that.
Car on stands. No need to remove wheels.
Remove 18mm lower shock bolts. Let beam drop. Springs will fall out too probably.
Up top, remove nut holding shock in. Let shock fall out.
For fitting, reverse procedure.
We're not bankrolling you funny accented f**kers either, btw. (; Bring your own beers as burgers. We'll have the BBQ roasting.
I might give up a beer or two of mine to those special members however.
Impossible to tell for sure from that.
There are GTi-6 engines going around NA with that kind of power.
As Phil says, anything is possible, just depends on how deep your pockets are!
It's easy to swap.
Unclips down under the car by the drivers seat. UNclip there. Tie string to lower end. Pull pipe out of top leaving string in loop. Tie same bit of string to new pipe. Pull back through. bit fiddly getting it back in the clips, but simple enough.
