Re: Personal Opinion on the best modification done to a 172/182 Performance or Stylin
The RS Sabelt one is great, but they're hard to get hold of I think, and the fabric wears after a while.
Re: Personal Opinion on the best modification done to a 172/182 Performance or Stylin
Borrow a code reader from someone to find that out.
For me, a smalle steering wheel is the best simple 'cheap' mod.
But that's not where the stress and the weight is. The mount on the left is in the same position as mine, that's where the pressure is.....and A LOT of it!
On the windscreen yes, but I really wouldnt want to mount them on the side windows.
Does make me wonder.....as the guy I bought the kit off in the US has an Exige too. This is how setup:
The rig itself isn't that heavy, but the weight is amplified as it's hanging so far off the car.
I think Russ is the nearest chap to me, so I'll get in touch soon to see if I can pop over one day.
Well the reason I went with a small 128GB is I have a 500GB HDD drive too.
So programs and some other stuff go on the SSD
Music, videos, photos etc go on the HDD.
As for CDs......who uses those these days?! ;)
lol yeh a little. That's partly why I did it to my Dad's car first. I've done a lot of these shots in the past too, with no issues so I would have been surprised if anything had happened.
It's just sods law that I did it on my car when it was very hot :(
Very secure! I am in the process of trying to get more length on the boom.
And the mounts didnt leave a single trace at all, probably because they have proper paint jobs and not cheapy weight saving paint like mine has lol!
So I had my first proper go with my new rig parts yesterday.
First up was a test shot on my Dad's cannel boat:
All seemed to go fine, so up next was the TT:
And for you guys who keep asking....here's some set ups, and a shot straight from the camera :)
Back into the swing of...
I bought the Lee Digital starter kit...which has the holder (but not the adapter for your lens!), 0.6GND and 0.6ND filter.
I've then bought a few more filters that fit in the same holder. If you can get Lee kit then do it, it's the best....BUT.....it's a bugger to get hold of as everyone is...
Exactly. But just wanted to make sure people (not meaning you) realise that there is a massive difference between the two.
I have even spoken to people who don't use a polarising filter as they say they use a photoshop filter lol! Idiots.
GND filters make a massive difference. As someone who uses proper filters and photoshop ones, the fake filters can't even compare to the results you get with proper ones.
They a fiddle and expensive yes, but photoshop will never be able to replace them.
Well lesson learned.
I'm planning to head out again on Friday for some more shots.....bit nervous about doing it tbh! But it's nowhere near as hot as it was on the previous day.
