Ok, couple of things from me.....
1) Lots of those pics demonstrate really well why you need sort sort of GND filter, as the sky is overexposed in many of the pics. A GND will fix that (graduated neutral density fyi)
2) You can work on your composition too. For example in pic 3, the horizon is...
Great shot Dunx, nice use of movement.
Had another successful shoot this evening (and I didnt f**k up any body panels either! ;))
This was the first test shot on my Dad's car, then I shot an Audi TT. I'll get those shots up tomorrow when I've finished editing them.
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
Of course, but a lot of people were disappointed the 4S didnt do more.
So it seems to me that this has to be a big step up. Like version 5, rather than 4.2 for example. But what more can a phone do!?
I don't think it's deep enough to be fibre glass related.
As I said, I'll get some better photos tonight. Really hope it's a simple fix, even though sometimes you cant see it, I know it's there which is worse lol!
I initially thought it might be the wax on the car, as I waxed it not long ago...
Re: iPhone 5 this October??
Serious question? What can they make this one do that wont make everyone think it's just the 4S..S, rather than the next generation?
I'd be tempted to switch, but it must be a massive step up for me to change. I can't think what they can do though.
I'll get my SLR out this evening and take some better shots for you guys to judge better.
Thanks for the help so far.
Really nervous about doing it again though! Pretty sure it was because if the heat.
The front rig shot didn't cause any issues at all.
Must be pretty soft paint on these things!
The paint is in very good condition, obviously there are stone chips etc on the front, but that's unavoidable especially on something this low.
I might even leave it for a while and do a full respray sometime!
Well I'd probably give it a blast with my G220 and intensive polish, but I have no idea how thick the paint is.
It would be great I'd there's anyone near who could quickly measure the car so I know if it's safe to try it.
Had a slight issue today when I was rigging my Exige. I think as it was so hot, the paint must have softened up a bit, and with the weight of the rig pushing down.....it created an impression in the surface.
These are about as good as I can capture for now to show it:
So what's the best...
Well I only got the mounts, as I already my own boom. Really good so far, certainly grip well that's for sure!
Only had an hour play today, so not properly tested them yet really.
My first automotive shot in freakin ages! This was just a test of some new suction mounts I received from the US this week. Went well, apart from one hiccup....I think the sun heated the paint surface up quite a bit, so when I removed the mount from the rear, it's left an impression in the...
Well it's been a week since I applied the G1 to my car, and we've had no freaking rain since then either!
But just washed the car, and the water runs off the windscreen amazingly, so I think I did it kinda right. Just want to drive in some rain to see it in action lol!
To a certain degree yes, but there are many many things that others do for hobbies that I don't get.....but I can understand why a lot of other people do it, but this type of photography I just don't get. Period.
It's like standing by the side of a motorway snapping all the cars going past...
As someone who flies a lot, I regularly see bunches of photographers near the runways. And pretty much everytime I go past I cant help thinking.....why?!
Probably me being ignorant, but I just dont get photographing the same planes over and over again.
