Car was dry and cold, out of direct sunlight, sprayed it on, left to sit for 2/3 mins, then washed the panels with a bucket of hot water and a microfibre cloth. (They’re more grabby than wash mitts - that was my justification)
I’ve used this on a car once, worked really really well. Also, if you can, hot water.

Whatever the cause - it’s rebuild time. If you run slightly thicker oil and don’t drive like a helmet, it could last for years like that.
But if you like driving it fast - you either need to buy another engine or have yours refreshed I’m afraid.
I have a Mk1 but knowing Renault it’s the same. 😂
Mine had worked loose and fell down inside the rear wing. As @Gus says, get the rear door card off and have a look inside. Even better if you have a magnet on a stick.
If it has indeed vanished in to thin air, just wang some bolts on and use...
Very kind mate. Yes the clutch and the gearbox are what’s making me hate it. When it was standard it was mint. I’ve then spent north of £5k on a fresh box, diff, custom shafts and hydraulic clutch and it’s 100 tines worse than it was before. I hate it now.
@colesy - just the continuous air...
I’m thinking of selling this.
Since it’s last trip to Beaniesport - and the f**king s**t state they left it in - I’ve fallen out of love with it.
Whats it worth? How do I price it?!
Mk1 clio 16v
Totally rust free - all original arches and sills - no filler!
172 running gear
Gripper
Hydraulic...
This stuff is brilliant.

The milky colour is the result of not 100% dry lacquer and then exposure to moisture.
We get it with the smart repair guy. If it rains shortly after he’s been and painted a bumper corner, milky galore.
Do the same again but leave them to dry in your house for a few days before refitting...
All the brake lights ok? I’m not sure how the park selection sensors work on these.
@lemonnobby will know I’m sure. 😂
Basically, if it doesn’t know it’s in Park it won’t start.
I f**king give up.
I try and moderate Hitler’s own thread and he wades in here with his massive canoe like shoes, nausing it all up by chatting on it. You couldn’t make it up.
f**k the lot of you.
One of the most underrated cars of the modern era. Just a shame anyone taller than @Touring_Rob (which is a high percentage, have you seen him?! c**t still shops in Mothercare) has to have their head rubbing the ceiling.
Amazing chassis though, and proper pin point steering. 👌🏽
