Great day at Croft, although we were having so much fun we never got any pictures 🤦🏻♂️
Here‘s one from the arse end on the way.
Met @SharpyClio for the first time. Good to meet you fella and thank you for the loan of the towing eye. We got sorted in the end.
@Brigsy popped in with his...
It was about 4 years ago when I had mine replaced, but I'm 99% sure the plastic clip in your picture comes bonded on the screen. I've also recently had a new rain sensor replaced and that didn't have the plastic surround, rather it clips into it.
The Rain sensor is - P/N 8200063060
Yeah, it'll be brilliant once you've had it all sorted.
My RB had some remedial work before my purchase. No rot thankfully, but just shabby workmanship. Panels and bonnet out of alignment. Paint on one panel the wrong shade.
Our lads sorted it and it's so satisfying when everything lines up...
Have they had a look over the rest of the car for you? Get some Dynax UC or S50 in the cavities of that bonnet when it comes out of paint. Just to preserve for years to come.

I sold a lad...
Great result!
They do tend to tramline more if you’re running semi-slicks or budget track tyres. I find the best results are PS3 195/45/16s. You still get the odd occasion where the steering follows imperfections in the road surface, but the ride is vastly improved. Avon ZVRs are also okay...
Mine put up a bit of a fight and I had the correct MOT tool.
In the end I removed the bolt at the top of the alternator (circled), pull it down a little, and it went on. I was able to push the alternator back into position easy enough.
Last bits to do before Croft next week and the impending MOT on Tuesday 🙏
Rear number plate light was out, so replaced that. The block connector had pretty much rusted and possibly the bulbs were shot.
I had one out of an old bumper so gave it a clean up and bought a new bulb.
I didn’t...
I completely agree with your sentiment.
My initial post aimed to underscore the £13,000 price tag of this vehicle two decades ago. Let's fast-forward to recent sales on platforms like Collecting Cars for real-world examples. I've often argued the need to relish these cars while we have the...
