Yeah, they're so much better than the regular blue towels.
I'd say I've tried every towel out there now and I've never been drawn away from the AF ones.
This Evo X came in about a little while ago for a freshen up.
The interior smelt awful. The exterior had had a 'detail' elsewhere and the engine bay had never been touched.
A deep clean inside, outside and a single stage machine polish was in store.
Detailed, eh...
I thought it was going to be released as a rinse less wash, competing with ONR and Meguiars D114/115.
It's one of those products that someone will try to use on a filthy car and slate it.
Used properly I'm sure it'll be great. There a technique to waterless washing, once you get it dialed it's...
There's plenty of meat toplay with on the lenses.
Definitely need some protection on then or they just fade again quickly.
I can help you out if you fancy a trip to Milton Keynes :)
I'm using a LumiLite from Home Bargains for a swirl spotter.
It's about £12, rechargeable, switches from LED to Halogen.
I've worked with another detailer a few times who has one of the cheaper eBay pet dryers. It worked perfectly.
Yeah, a tiny bit on an applicator is the way to go.
Apply a thin layer to the whole car and go back to the first panel. Swipe it with your finger - if it comes off clean, start to remove it. If it smears, give it a few more minutes and try the swipe test again.
It's a great sealant :)
Thanks dude
It catches the odd bump or raised bit in the road but nothing too bad. There a couple of inches ground clearance. More than my daily
The Poorboy's product is okay, not brilliant.
I'd suggest applying a durable wax that will see the winter through.
If you do want to just use a spray wax Auto Finesse Glisten is a nice, easy to use product. Durability is only a few weeks but you can easily use it after each wash.
Thanks bud :)
I used Gyeon Tire. Usually use Auto Finesse Revive but I used this on a couple of Porshe 993s a couple of weeks ago and have been hooked on it since.
Ah, is it on next month? I'll definitely be there.
Thanks a lot guys :)
It's such a fun little car. I always add up the cost of a respray but the scruffy bits give it more character. It'llbe 30 years old on the 1st of November!
These will be rubbish as I didn't set the camera up for the different light. Whoops!
Only a finishing polish on a medium polishing pad was needed to get where I wanted.
There's always been some marring on the bootlid, you can see the sweeping lines below the torch.
Easily removed...
My own car got treated to some work today.
I was asked to go to a show on Sunday, and told everyone is entering show and shine... a show car this is definitely not!
Ah well, I thought it better at least have a tidy up.
The car onoy really gets a QD wipe down before it's taken out and lives in...
Warm it with a hair dryer or heat gun and roll off as much as you can to start.
The remove the left over residue with a tar remover.
You can then go on to polish the area back up by hand or machine. You'll need spot pads to do it by machine.
By hand, something like Meguiars Ultimate Compound...
That's fantastic.
Very glossy for silver :)
One of the best parts about the 4 series... A real handbrake! No electric push button.
I've just finished an i3 and the brake and park gear are so fussy 😂
It is a good product, very hard wearing but it's very expensive.
I can apply Crystal Serum Light. More cost effective, very durable (up to 5 years), great scratch resistance.
I'm in Milton Keynes, not too far away.
Had a restock on Auto Finesse 5 litres.
Iron out, Imperial, Avalanche, Verso, Lather.
Auto Finesse brushes.
A load of Vikan brushes.
I didn't realise how worn down some of my brushes were so I just replaced everything bar the wheel woollies.
