If you're looking to wax it quite soon, a good wash, SRP and then wax over the top will be fine.
You only need to clay as and when it needs it. I do my cars about twice a year.
The Fusso wax isn't that great to be honest. There was a big bubble around it but that's bursting now.
A good, cheap...
Claying the car makes such a difference to the final result.
There's no replacing it.
Fallout remover and tar remover should be used before claying to break down the bigger bits so that the clay doesn't pick them up and drag them across the paint.
A paint cleanser, in your car's SRP would be...
Do you have any polish knocking around?
It doesn'tneed to be anything fancy. Just a little abrasive to see if it can be saved.
Some easy ones to pick up are Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or Polish, Auto Glym Super Resin Polish.
Something like that worked properly into a few test spots will tell...
These usually fade beneath the clear coat (Leons, Lupos, Golfs too).
Try a test spot with some polish by hand. If the pad turns yellow - you can save it.
If not - no amount of polishing will make it bright yellow again.
It's a good product. Works very well and it's cost effective too.
If you have or can get hold of a steam cleaner, give them a going over with that too. The heat will help to kill off bacteria beneath the fabric and get rid of the smell.
Auto Glym interior shampoo (trigger spray one) is a decent...
Where in Bucks are you?
I have a few good metal polishes if you want to try some out?
Auto Finesse Mercury is my go to at the moment.
I love the DC5, they don't look or feel their age at all.
Here's a 15 year old one I worked on last month.
I tried Done & Dusted recently. I never got around to it, then Jay gave me some to try and I was blown away.
As a drying aid with the Aqua Deluxe, drying is a streak free doddle.
We all know this is something that a lot of our cars will suffer from, I do lots of Clios with this problem, and mine were no exception.
I last sanded and polished them a few years ago and didn't pay them too much attention after that.
There are a bunch off methods as to how to repair and...
I run without it sometimes if I know I won't be out on my bike for a long while. I took it off for a while a few years back for Run To The Sun and it looked naked, haha.
It wasn't as low back then either.
Thanks :) yeah, being solid black it shows everything! I'd say it stays looking clean for about 45 seconds before dust, pollen or bird bombs get to it.
Yeah, I use the roof rack :) I take my bikes around on it.
Cheers dude :) I gave the interior a spruce up last week so it's a lot nicer to...
My poor old Bora has been very neglected for the last 18-ish-months. I fell out of touch with it and nearly sold it for a cheap old Volvo.
A friend of mine done a cambelt change, all fluids, filters, driveshaft, CV... 4th subframe, the joys of running low.
I had new tyres fitted to the pretty...
The exhaust isn't that loud really.
With the short run it made it quieter. You can hear the turbo spool up and down through it so it almost sounds electric. Disproves the whole "chatter stalls the turbo" myth as well ;)
It licks a few flames every now and then.
I didn't mean it as "ignore the club". Just that it's not to bring attention to the car having a turbo
It's a really good meet up actually.
The next meet is this Sunday in Aylesbury.

Hi everyone
Newbie here from Milton Keynes.
I just signed up after buying a Clio from a friend.
We found the car for him as a project a few years ago, which he never found the time for so I've ended up with it
It's a phase 2 Valver so hopefully it'll fit in with the club...
