Doing a bit of maintenance/refresh work on my 172, got some cooksport springs, two track rod ends and I'm looking at replacing the ball joints at the same time. After having a good search about it seems to be a bit confusing which size the phase 1's use. Can anyone shed some light onto this...

Got a fairly standard ph1 172, suspension refresh in the next couple of weeks with some cooksport springs to fit. Mines due the belts too sadly.

Im from Chorley so not too far from yourself, Just wondering where your planning to get it aligned and set up etc. Track car on a budget will always get out of hand though ;)

Have a BTB modified 182 CAT. I believe this has the 2.5 dis pipe welded for a more freer flow. Any ideas what its worth? I know the previous owner paid almost £200 for it.

After getting the fault code read by Renault clip, it came back as an open circuit in the steering wheel. I took the airbag off and checked all connections but they seem ok. Struggling to see what the issue might be here Its a ph1 172 if that makes any differance Cheers

Just spotted this down the dual carriageway towards preston. I was in the silver phase 1 going considerably slower!

Mine went a little funny similar to this when i had the inlet off to do the plugs, double check the gaskets are sealed properly and the throttle cable is free to move without jamming. Mine only did it intermittently so might be hard to spot

Problem sorted! And a free diagnosis to sort the airbag/serve light! Top garage, know their stuff and ready to help!

Going away from the obvious, my old car used to mist up inside due to an old pollen filter. Using the blowers normally would take an age to clear the windows, using the air con it would demise quickly but the only long term solution was the pollen filter. May/ may not be something to consider.
