Do I need spring compressors to change ball joints?

No need for spring compressors for anything on a 1*2

Are you 19 with a RS?

How will anyone use the M40 with a black box fitted? Sitting at 120 is the law.

200 Gearbox 4th Gear Crunch, 8 weeks out of Warranty

It can still be put down to wear and tear or drive abuse though..

    Hit from behind

Open the boot and lift up the boot carpet. If it's had a whack, the floor will most likely be bent. If so, prepare to be getting a new car.

    Removing the 'inlet manifold' help

2 mins work. 6 or 7 10mm bolts. Disconnect the sensors and vacuum pipes. Tape over lower inlet ports to stop things falling in. Done

    CLIO SPORT NEXT YEAR!!!!

Running cost of a 1*2 is no worse than a 1.2 IMO.

    gearbox replacement.

This. They all fit and the car will drive, it's just on some models you then won't have a working speedo.

    Transmission mount

I don't remove the whole bracket. It's much easier on the car imo. Undo the big 18mm nut on the top and give the stud a t**t with a hammer. It'll drop through. 2x 10mm bolts nuts and bolts off and the mount comes out.

    Lowering..

All the Mk2 springs will fit iirc. Only thing that differs is how much it lowers by, obviously a 1*2 set of springs will be suited to heavier engine etc.

spacers behind rear disc. whos done it?

That's the stub axle, you're talking about. This bit?
  23. Budgie

spacers behind rear disc. whos done it?

Unless you mean the stub axle's base plate? But you'd need to cut the axle part off and then find another way of mounting it.. IMO, just spend the money and get spacers if that's what you're after.
  24. Budgie

spacers behind rear disc. whos done it?

The spacers behind the rear disc are not 20mm thick. They're 3-4mm thick at best. Plus, all they do it keep the bearing firm and space the gap between the stub axle and the bearing. You can't fit more than one.

Before & after K-tec Induction Kit graphs

I wouldn't be worrying too much about that. 306 GTi-6 airbox is in exactly the same place. Obviously it's not an open filter though.

Looking for a Decent Socket Set

No they don't... As they're on offer already, you don't get any further.. So I was told last time anyway..

    Another Example of Poor Workmanship...

Is the filter easily visible on Megane RS' or do you spin them on and do them up blind? Either way, if that is a mistake in fitting, it's a big error..
