Should be around high 13s/low 14v with engine running. Alternator dead or wiring issue at a guess, check positive wire ring terminal has not broken off where it connects to the alternator.
That is awesome never new that! Ill have a sniff round to see if available for ps1.
Fond memories of hiring it out from blockbuster back in my youth.
Was playing Time Crisis and Point Blank in arcade club in Leeds a while back. Both epic.
Cant beat a bit of retro gaming. I have nes, snes, master system, megadrive 2 and ps1. Got them all when free/v cheap. Perfect for winter when the weather is crap, no pissing about updating software, plug and play. The modern emulators are ok and i also have one for mame etc, but generally the...
Cheers mate. Yep loads of bodged f4rs out there sadly.
Indeed mate. Previous owner spent a few quid at a specialist too. Bolts missing the lot, s**t show.
I was almost at the point of pulling the head and binning it as was concerned that the lack of locating dowels was going to be a mismatched cam cover and the repaired corner. However journals and cams looked ok so decided to go with it.
Repair - not great but flat and doesnt leak
2 hours of...
So after sitting about doing nothing for a few days got the R26 in the garage for surgery new years eve.
As i said above this had been in a garage and had the head off and new valves before i got it. It ran ok and it looked to have a recent cambelt on, but i was seeing bits i didn't like when...
Updates.
First of all Happy new year all and all the best for 2024!
On the runup to xmas i didnt really use the r26 much, as all over with work and the one day i wanted to use it the mrs took it before i got chance
Went away to tenerife for a week and seen its spanish twin in Los...
I might stick this one on and take it out for a datalog to see if any difference. My 980cc injectors are super noisy too so would be nice if it cured that. Chris said i probably wouldnt have any issues if it had some rubber pipe in the setup as all ptfe lined.
Updates.
Blue dci has not failed to start since, goes first crank from cold and no problems aslong as its driven. Not done any diagnostics yet but had a quick look round and fuel lines look OK..prob bang a diesel filter on it soon and leakoff test.
Due a service so give it a quick oil and...
Bargain for 12k to be fair.
Just seen you have a radium fuel pulse damper. Did you have issues with fuel pulsation at high rpm? I bought one of these for my trophy for the pulsation issue it has but Chris@Efi didnt recon much to them so never fitted it.
M12 Bodywarmer will be spot on. Ive had the m12 zip up hoodie a few years now good bit of kit in winter for staying warm. Only downside is the battery pocket is on the side/rear for some reason digs in if getting in the car with it on.
I dont mind my job but the goal is to not flog my b****cks off these days. Work fast as fcuk at home and get all immediate tasks done in the morning then relax a bit.
The bolt trick sounds lovely when i need to dissappear for a long "lunch" occasionally and can jump on teams on the phone if it...
I have the long reach m12 fuel ratchet. Took me ages to get used to it but use it all the time now. Nice bit of kit for awkward access bolts.
Im going to buy a 3/8 m12 impact on payday and a 6.0ah batt.
Im guessing that its a diesel as you havent specified what car it is.
Its pretty normal to see a bit of oil leakage out of the breather pipes when the engines getting on/starting to breathe a bit as they are push fit/poor fit usually.
Wouldnt worry about it if its not using loads of oil and no...
Updates.
Undertray was missing as per all of the plastics underneath thanks to previous rough owners. Ive reinstated all the rest apart from the undertray. Its not a massive issue but nice to have, to keep the crap out of the engine bay and promotes airflow through the engine bay and out the...
Buy the milwaukee or dewalt. The cheap ones struggle to undo wheel bolts if tight or rusty and batterys go flat fast.
My dewalt 899 has had years of abuse and no issues, battery lasts ages. When it pops its clogs ill buy a milwaukee.
Yep should go on, not sure if squib wiring is the same connectors though. Airbag might be different but can reprogram the airbag ecu easily with can clip.
Ill have to do some diagnostics on this. The gates hoses seemed a bit cheapy but the connections were good. But again the quality of everything is s**t these days so what was ok might not be.
