That looks like a bracket bolt to me - number 2 in your illustration - that goes into the engine block. The AC pump bolts are M8 and a lot longer with more thread.
My wife has helped me see reason, so I've decided to keep it for the time being.
Being a workaholic, I easily get bored, which is why I embark on these projects in the first place.
Regarding the price, I'll stick it on Collecting Cars and set a reserve price of £6,000. I do have quite a few...
It would suffice, though they lack the flexibility and durability of genuine ones. They're serviceable but somewhat fragile. I was fortunate to acquire a genuine tray from another Clio, but these served their purpose in the meantime.
I photoshopped mine up when I was thinking of getting some and found Anthracite worked best, followed by Silver.
White looked a bit too Michael Jackson :ROFLMAO: White socks with drain-pipe trousers.
I have the pics on my hard drive somewhere. I'll post them over to you later.
I think that was the issue with my old (original) one. The plastic around the spring kept sticking forcing the bonnet to pop up if you went over a bump.
Luckily only onto the latch.
I've had a bonnet go up through the windscreen when I was flat out down the straight at Cadwell, so I'm a bit...
That's right Jon. It has a sports cat of some type and straight through after that.
MOT is due in April, so I'll get my track day sorted, and then get it in for a test. The plan was to have a run-over to see Chris for another Map, before the ASTs get thrown on, I don't fancy a journey to the...
Did a little bit on the old girl on Saturday.
I got this bonnet catch off a lad when I was picking up some bits and pieces. I saw it in his bin and noticed it was a genuine Renault part, so needed saving.
My old catch had a problem with the spring, so I'd replaced it with an aftermarket...
Time to start updating this thread now I know what I'm doing going forward.
Currently, the car has a single custom one-piece exhaust. From what I can gather, 108 decibels is the acceptable noise level for hill climbing regs and while it sounds like a roaring beast on the road, I'm concerned it...
I’m 99.9% sure that bush is meant to be tight in the body of the tensioner. The circlip is there to hold it in place.
To facilitate belt removal with the tensioner tool, it must be able to move and pivot as needed. So it’s fixed in with a partially threaded bolt - see picture below. I can...
Cool. Cadwell is the perfect test. If you get time, could you ping me over a list of parts if you don’t mind? 😊 No rush. I’m at Croft in March for my new cars first outing. But I’m sure I’ll be making some modifications over the new season
