Yeh we seemed to get lucky with the rozzers. They can be hit and miss. I heard of a classic car group heading the opposite direction to us (an event that was widely publicised on social media) and a cop had set up a camera in the bushes to catch people cutting solid white lines around corners...
DAY 3
Mansfield, Buller, Eildon loop -> home to Sydney
Overnight we were joined by a couple of Renaultsport owners from Melbourne, @Teki04 and Alex. We quenched a few thirsts and hit they hay for an early night. Upon an early rise, the car park looked like a mid-noughties OzRS meet, which made...
I was quicker on the tight roads. The LSD and V8 grunt of the Commo meant it disappeared up the steeper, more open roads. Great fun chasing it and approaching each road with a vastly different driving style.
DAY 2
Bright loop then to Mansfield
After procuring breakfast for both the cars and ourselves, we set off for the famous Falls - Omeo - Hotham loop. First up, Mount Beauty - an absolutely incredible ribbon of twisting tarmac - virtually empty save for a few MAMILs. A quick flash past one of...
Back in late November 2019, I enjoyed a 3-day jaunt around the Victorian alps with a few friends. We started with 2 Sydneysiders and 1 Melbournite and finished with 2 extra Mexicans for a good group of 5 on the final day.
DAY 1
Huw and I left Sydney around 5am, aiming for Albury by lunchtime...
Thanks fellas. It's the only phase 1 V6 road car in the country. There is one ph1 Trophy race car in another state and 7-8 ph2 Vees dotted around Aus, mostly on the east coast (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne). There's a blue ph2 V6 for sale in Sydney for ludicrous money at the moment. It's been...
G'day fellas, these shots of my old man's V6 were taken last year but I've been off the forums for a while! Ph2 18s and rear lights, stripes (the old man loves them but I want to take them off), otherwise stock:

Thanks lads!
Only mods on it are Koni Yellows w/ Eibach Sportlines, rear Whiteline ARB and 16" OZ F1s (ET 37 from memory). Oh and a sneaky Quaife in there too (transplanted from my old car).
Aiming to keep her pretty stock and have all the original bits as she's so rare over here and the ph1 are...
It's been a while, lads! Here's our Sunflower Ph1 that my Dad and I have been restoring (planning to keep for my son when he can drive in 14 years time!). One of the two Sunflower Yellows in Australia

My Dad's and my RS fleet. I've since sold the 197, bought a 200EDC, sold it and now just have the 172 as had to get the missus a family car. He's still got the 4 RS.
Can't edit the first post, but the missing photos are these:

Hey @Andy93 - how you doing mate? Yeh, it's Matt's. Finally got around to revealing it! haha
Yeh, Dad and I bought the Sunflower. Going to restore it back to mint (it's at Renotech at the moment for a full service) and fit some 16" OZ F1s I bought off buddy who got them from Japan. Might fit...
