For my seat belts, I undid the nut at the bottom and pulled the belt out as much as possible and secured at the top with a peg to stop it retracting. I then put them in a bucket of hot water and Vanish. Left for a while and then I just blasted them with a jet wash. Came up like new.
Definitely...
Oh, is that yours? I'm confused as your profile says you've got a 182 haha.
They do look great. I'll be in two minds whether to commit the sin of destickering it when I get one.
Taking the spacers makes a massive difference until you get used to it. I then went for Recaros on Jon Foz's lower adaptors, still would like it a bit lower but the only other option would be what has been suggested above with Jon Foz's XLow frames and aftermarket buckets.
Honestly for just over £700 It's absolutely bang on.
I did try last weekend and it was as dead as a dodo. Hoping to jump it back in life and give it a bit of love this weekend with a full service.
Can even open the back windows from the buttons on the drivers door.
This has got heated seats and I just gone through my first full tank of fuel and got over 50mpg. It's great, I love it!
Interesting reading. Such a clique but I love the raw, no nonsense fun of my 182. I really need to drive a 200 I think as I absolutely love the look of this one.
I'd personally take the inlet off, clean up the oil as much as possible and keep your eye on it. If it returns then you'll obviously know the problem is something else, possibly the issues that have been mentioned above.
I can see it now, would look absolutely mint.
In fact, I'm going to find another of them bumpers and take it down to EFI with me when I meet Dan there. When he takes the 182 front bumper off to get it on the rollers, that's when I'll do the switch ;)
