Pretty lucky I got a good sunset for once, so very happy with it.
NOOOOOO!!!! The worst thing you can do it put it on full auto!
You need manual focus, manual white balance, and at minimum - A or S priority.
I'm just about to head off now to get a sunset/night sequence. No idea what to expect, just an experiment!
Jay's old 206 diesel did 50-60odd mpg.
His new bus isn't quite so good, despite the lack of boost!
Shame to hear about your recent troubles, could be the best thing to happen to you though :)
The seek times are average like 0.1ms, whereas a HDD would be 17-18ms ish.
Fast write speeds and read speeds.
I just ordered the OCZ Vertex 3 SATA-III 120GB. 500MB/s read and write speeds!! Fecking fast!
They're also completely silent too which to some people is a plus.

SSD is the best thing you can do to upgrade your computer. Period.
The dust issue is, I'm worried that when I replace the display and the glass on top of that, I'll get loads of crap trapped between it. Even if I try to prevent it, or remove a lot with compressed air etc.
Upgrading a MBP is a...
I've just started playing about with this.
There's a lot more to it than I thought, but I think because I'm trying to do time lapses of day to night, which I've read on quite a few places as the 'holy grail' of time lapse photography!
If you want to do a normal day time one, I set the camera...
Scratch that!
Just called a local Apple authorised service provider. They would charge an hours labour at £50+VAT to fit the drives. I think I might do this, as I can just imagine I'll encounter an unexpected horror when doing it myself!
Both myself. I've studied the guide intensely and I think I should be ok. I'm very competent inside PCs usually, my main worry is getting dust and crap trapped inside the glass.
FLOL! Just for you, I'll put extra effort into taking photos of it :)
I will also take a few photos of the upgrade process. I feel a bit bad that as soon as it arrives, I'll be ripping it apart :( But I've got some nice goodies going in it :)
*Gulp*.....ordered it!

I have already ordered another 8GB RAM from crucial, and a 2TB HDD which I'll stick in along with an SSD. Not sure if I'll use...
I'm just about to order 8GB of RAM from Crucial! If I do that I'm committed to it!
For me, the wait is not worth it. I already have an 32GB iPod, and I will have to buy Lion for my MBP.......
If you pay to upgrade to Lion, does that count for every Mac you own?
I ask because I will undoubtedly upgrade my MBP, so if I can do my iMac too, then it's not worth the wait.....if you see what I mean lol
