As above, the wiring is what cause mine. Bought a new plug with wires off eBay (was a kit), and had it soldered in by a mate. Was under the glovebox but not a dash out job for that.

They've said every year about long sleeves and trousers, but it seems more relaxed on the day if it's hot. I've certainly never had to wear them when I've done Blyton at CSF. Up to their discretion of course, but usually they'll say something about it at the briefing.
As Sharky said, don't worry. We were all track noobs at some point, and you won't be the only first timers there that weekend. Everyone is courteous, as long as you remember to get out of the way of the faster guys t the straights you'll be fine.
Gutted Andy, but glad to hear you're in a happier place about it all. I still remember you taking us all out in it at Llandow. Was probably a good 2 hours before you got to sit back down in the pub! :ROFLMAO:

Can't talk for the Ryobi stuff, but I started off with a Makita drill, and it's still going a good 5 years later after lots of abuse.
I followed that up with a host of other stuff (and a few more batteries so I have spares!). Impact gun, chainsaw, garden strimmer.
Pretty much full package.
Turns out, it was all b****cks! Told original woman we'd think about it and call back. Called back, and this time got thru to retentions. He said he couldn't get us to the same price, but he did improve the price on the previous call. £40 a month for everything bar...
Our discount ended, and it went from £33 upto £86 a month.
Called up, and the best deal they will do is £56 a month. Apparently they won't give the "huge discounts" that they used to give.
My old 172 had threaded bars sticking out from the bulkhead, there from the factory.
The old sound deadening was held in place using the large plastic washers pushed on those bars.
I re-used those and some lock-nuts.
I had a pre-facelift mk3 DCI for over 5 years. Only issues I had where the knocking bootlid (solved with some electrical tape), and the fuel flap motor failing.
Otherwise I took me the length and breadth of the country, did numerous trackdays (I had swapped it onto AP coilovers and Megane 17"...
