Yup, im well aware of all of that, but you cant just unbolt a welded in cage & return your car to standard in 20 mins though can you ... It did the job i wanted. If the car somehow ended up on its roof, id still have my head (no ducking with fixed buckets/harnesses lol).
Any further questions...
It bolts into the seat belt mounting points. Not entirely sure why they are sh1t? Id imagine that as the cage was designed for MSV so members of the public could hoon around on their corporate events, id say it was probably quite well thought out...
Exactly. A clio is a great cheap trackcar, but as soon as you start thinking about ploughing money into them, you might as well just buy something better/more suited to the role in the 1st place.
Terribly sorry, i normally stay in the 'Other Marques' section of the forum. In fact, next time you ask a question about your golf, i wont be so helpful. With regards to the weight loss, yes, you will gain additional speed & adjustability, but without the correct suspension setup, you will lose...
Argh nightmare. Word of advice, buy cars when your missus is on holiday.
Sarah went away for the weekend and came home to a MCS and GP on the drive lol.
I've never had an RS2. Well actually i did, but i never fitted it, so sold it to Nick172Cup (as it was his old RS2+ setup).
Re: PH, that was posted on the 5th July 2010, so was probably from one of Tom's posts on the subject.
I still believe the RS2 was/is a very good piece of kit.
lol, makes the car feel like a Mini CSL, which is good, as that's what i really want/cant afford :dapprove:
Yup, will be interesting to see what sort of power its putting out!!
Yeah, its certainly easy to spot in a car park :o
Steering wheel fitted last night - the guide make it look like a ridiculously fiddly time consuming job, but in reality, it was no harder than swopping a clio wheel over.
Turinis also turned up, need two tyres before i can sling them on as...
Lol!! Amazing what a bonus does to your way of thinking.
Before = nah mate, way too expensive, silly money etc
After = sod it, i like the silly spoiler, the extra £9k is well worth it
Cage fits in the car no probs, think i removed the passenger seat to fit it, just made things a liitle easier :)
Yup, my Vts quite happily stuck to the bumper of Ollie's stripped out 172 Cup to to 3 figures, then at Llandow it quite happily overtook many a 1*2. Ignore them at your peril lol.
Cheers for the the comments guys, hopefully some of you have played some of his games over the past few years!!!
Are in a similar field of expertise then Andy? I must admit, i laughed at him when he said he was going to do a degree in computer game design, then i almost fell of my chair at him...
Now, i wouldn't normally post anything up about my family, by i'm actually in awe of some of the things my bro has been up to lately, so i thought id share in this section. He's a lead environment artist at TTFusion (Warner Brothers) and has created the following real time environment in his...
Yeah, ive been speaking with him, something not quite right there i dont think.
Unfortunately not, just this thin rimmed thing.
Most GP owners change them, just before they clean them to within an inch of their lives and cover them in stupid stickers.
Its like the Trophy forum over...
I think that used to be owned by the chap with the CSL as well, Steve perhaps?
Yup, was Azrael: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?643946-For-Sale-Clio-Trophy-%A34k&highlight=trophy
Its an option unfortunately. Like all the other s3xy carbon bits!!
Also trying to get hold on some facelift xenons (the GP halogens are sh1te), but they are proving harder to track down :(
