Nah, the original wheel is mint (as per the rest of the car), i just prefer this one, much thicker/nicer to hold, more like the M3 ones.
Also cheaper to buy a new steering wheel than a new car lol.
Its the official JCW steering wheel, more info here...
Possibly, but the ZOE doesnt have that badge on the front. Which as much as it pains me to say it, is important to alot of people.
Need something a little bigger than your i3 for the day? No problem, use some of your accumulated points to have an X5 for the day.
I think the i3 is game changing...
Not really, i spent a grand on the M3/R32 every month for 2 years. Half of that was fuel mind.
They both sounded nice though, so it was worth it. Wouldnt be spending that on something with an incorrect number of cylinders.
The way im looking at it (based on previous experiences) is that a £10k car, paid for with cash, will cost roughly the following per month:
Depreciation £100 (£1200 a year)
Servicing & repairs £50 (£600)
Tyres £25 (£300)
Tax £25 (£300)
Mods £50 (£600)
So you're essentially throwing away £250 a...
So having read the article i decided to look up 6+23 leasing costs for them both, just out of interest like.
Clio is £350 inc VAT.
Fiesta is £255 inc. VAT
By comparison, a M135i is £251 inc. VAT. lol.
Renault need to sell them at £199 a month like the 200 imho, might sell some then.
Re: Archived Post from old forum
An M3 with a non-r****d driver will absolutely r4pe a 1*2 at any speed. I know this as ive had both. At no point does a 1*2 feel 'fast', an M3 does.
A 330 is quicker than a 1*2 in gear, off the line (if your brutal), in low rev scenarios and at 80+. For normal...
lol, as Nick says really, cant wrap my head around spending £425 a month on a car, to then have to spend another £12k on it after 4 years to own it. My parents also reminded me that i tend to change cars every 3-6 months, so a 4 year deal probably wasn't particularly sensible. I still quite...
So Friday brought my first visit to the famed 1320 and Tom, Scott & Jack for a few odds & sods to be sorted out. Yes, i would rather do my own work on my cars, but a busy schedule and lack of suitable parking at my flat makes it a bit of a nightmare to do any proper work on the car these days...
Lovely looking car!!
Word of advice however, in the unlikely event that the car dealer you bought the FRS saw this thread, it reads like you effectively spent too much on the car, had regrets and are now trying to wriggle out of the purchase.
I had an e92 320i (the 170bhp version of the 150bhp in the Z4) and it had difficulty pulling up onto the curb outside my house lol.
They are massively underpowered. On the flipside, they are quite revvy and its nice being able to thrash the absolute t1ts off a car without being anywhere near...
It does kinda make sense, but the 6 pots are no fire breathers, they just add to the pleasure of mooching about, with a lovely burble/bassy drone. The 2.0 sounds like a bag of spanners from memory.
It looks nice, but a 4 pot BMW is very much "OMG i must have a BMW badge" imho.
You're very much missing out by not having the correct number of cylinders :dapprove:
I paid £10.5k for the GP on 44k miles, its probably still worth that. Not sure i could say the same for the 200 ;)
Having owned all the different options in this thread, if the 197/200 was the better car, id have one lol.
My 197 didnt have a flat spot, it had a black hole. Meant that i either had to rag it like a vtec, or get overtaken by 320d's.
Personally, if you want something newer, buy a mini. I've got Renaultsport in my veins, but everything after the 1*2 is quite frankly flawed. Drive a 197 extensively...
Yeah, i wasnt really questioning the size of your e-penis tbh, more a genuine question about running costs. Having to sink £10k into a car in 6 months would suggest that its a money pit in my eyes, no matter how much you earn. But thanks, you're clearly a baller.
