Although I fitted the Whiteline ARB a couple of weeks ago, I didn't have any pictures, so took one today
Also, whilst looking on here, I've seen loads of advice on different mounts, and stuff. Found that mines already got most of them done.
I had bought some PMS rear solid rear axel...
Then, fitting some rear camber shims. It already had 1 degree, so added another, to 2 degree (incase anyone was struggling with math)
Whilst stripping it all down, primed and painted these bits. No idea what you call them!
Forgot to take pictures during the fitting, and once on, you can't...
Next, changing the battery from a 20kg standard one, to a 5.9kg one. Also moved it out of the foot well and to the left, in an attempt to shift weight around. Don't think it will make much difference, but you never know!
Then, fitted the wing mirrors, door trims and back bumper trim..
No pictures of the wig mirrors individually. Also fitted the painted roof mounting air scoop
Wrapped bumper read for build up
Bottom grill finished, so fitted the top one next
The all important badge:-)
Then fitted back on the car.
Also fitted the aero barackets to the side..
Still waiting for the air ducts to come from CM Composites, along with a new splitter. Should be...
Big list of jobs for today. Most done, but not all finished. I'll do them all as separate posts, for ease of follow.
Clio jobs list
Fit bumper parts back on - 10 mins
Finish fitting bumper quick release button
Fit side trims and other painted parts
Refit side windows
Fit new dash and buttons...
Well, the car is now blue!
And the Yorkshire detailing has started. Company logo's and numbers next!
Just started the list of jobs to do on Monday, and need to try and fit 3 days worth of work in to one! And in the middle of all that, I've got to try and learn a bit more about the car...
Couple more pics of the wrap. Colour change is done now, just the very important bits of the Yorkshire Rose and company logos to go. Should be done tomorrow.
That's about it so far.
Would fibre glass be any lighter than the plastic? Or is it just the design and ease of making it, that you are using fibre glass?
Looks awesome by the way, and I've just copied and ordered the same! Hope you don't mind.
So, I've thrown the key away for the car, after fitting the button start! Never even thought about the fuel cap!
Luckily, I used to be a car thief, so will pick the lock and get in!
How did you all get on with this? If I'd have seen it, I'd have loved to have joined you. What sort of times did you get?
I've been twice, a great track for a bit of fun. Best time I had was 1.19.4, but there were a couple of clips close,to that, I'm sure, last time there
Hi Mini, Wasn't as Oulton, as the wife kicked in. The doors were a piece of cake to fit! A day did both of them. They needed a bit of planing down to line up, but a grinding disk sorted that.
The original doors both weighed over 40KG each, and the new ones, including the perspex windows...
Hi,
Are there any specific track days organised on here, where a big bunch of clips get together? No more time for me this year, but if there are some next, it would be good to test them against each other.
the car is in with the wrappers for the next week, so can't do anything to it. A week on Monday is the big day for me. Rebuilding all the bits back on, and fitting the last few things, gear stick, camber shims, and some bushes.
One thing I did yesterday, was check on other parts on the car, to...
Hi Sonny, we concidered that, but the only time it would effect it, is when stationary, as when going forward, the cool air will be forced through the filter. If it doesn't work, we will just put a bit of heat shield between.
