Might be a late opinion on this, but I've put the PMS shifter in, and don't really like it. The position is okay, but I find it difficult to find all the gears. Probably needs a tweak on the set up, but my first outing I wasn't that impressed.
Hi, why don't you come down and see us all at Silverstone, on the 5th of March. It's our Launch day. You can book your car in for a track day too.
If you are serious about it, one of the racers lives in Carlisle, and Hes a vast amount of knowledge. No idea how to link people on here, but he's...
Good thread Matt. I've done a similar thing with the 2014 season, used it to get used to racing and getting the car right. I did it in the Tricolore series, who, as mentioned on here are a great bunch of friendly and helpful people.
It would be good to see more Clios out with us in 2015, so if...
Just got these replacement springs!
Bought these from www.motorsport-tools.com and recieved shocking service! Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. welched out of sending the free gift they promised, as there 'system' was down! Hate dealing with companies who don't care!!!!
Flockton? Between Wakefield and Huddersfield. What about you?
@Apg100 no worries at all. You're very close to me btw! Where about in wakey are you from?
Sorry, replied before read rest of thread. Is the Lada a runner? I may have a use for it, on a hiring basis, if your interested?
Sorry for hijacking, bay the way
I didn't measure the diameter of the dampers, but the rear springs were just under 2inch (no idea why it's imperial measurements, I got it 48mm) and the front were 2 1/4 inch, so the dampers are obviously less than that
Ha, at least :-)
It's having a freshen up, and a couple of tweaks :-) I don't really know what I have, so wanted to find out exactly what we are working with.
Another good days work. Thanks @Ant_Smiggy for your help, I'll be calling on you again:-)
Anyway, engines out and ready to take to RS Tuning tomorrow, for a freshen up. We also stripped the suspension on all wheels, to give it a good clean and check. Ended up making some new nylon bushes for...
Back to work on this tomorrow. Engine out and off to RS Tunning, for a freshen up. A good clean of the engine bay and cut it any of the bits we don't need.
Then, stripping the suspension, to clean it up, and see what I've got! The front is as low as the springs will allow, so need to find out...
I know it's not really project build related, but the dates for our Tricolore Cup racing have been published for next season, starting with a launch day on 5th March at Silverstone.
If you fancy seeing the racers, and throwing your car around with us, then have a look here -...
For those interested in Clios and Motor sport, have a look at Tricolore Cup's FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tricolore-Trophy/521950121284468
Didn't finish typing then!
I'd only feel disappointed if I didn't go the whole hog. Think I'm going to get it to RS Tuning and let them do there magic! Then spend a while paying the card off:-)
Hi Dave, sorry, couldn't remember your nickname! It's was really good having you in front of me, taught me loads! Hopefully have a few close races next season mate, and get out of the way of the MR2's!
Snetterton report!
Qualified in 21st out of 40, which I was quite pleased with, as I was still getting used to the feel of the car, and it was slippy as hell!
Got a few battle scars in the first race, as I got rear ended by a Maxda! Once I got out of the mess of all the MR2's and other Japs, I...
