Probably best to work out what the minimum you want out of it is and start a bit above that. Not the best time to be selling a track car on the run up to Xmas though!
Yeah it's not been the best year car wise 😂. The 1.2 just needs new panels as there's no damage beyond what can be seen but it's not the right time of year to be pulling doors off on the drive so it's going. And she wants another clio to replace it🤦♂️.
I dropped the car back on all 4 wheels the other day ready to send it back to the garage while I go to have an argument at euro car parts. Just for fun I turned the key...
And the b*****d fired up instantly and has done every day since😡. I'm going to rebook the mot at which point I expect...
I get that these cars are bought to fill a garage and maybe go to a show or two a year, not to be daily driven. It's the guy on autotrader that thinks his 104000 mile 205 is worth top crypto is whats ridiculous rather than the low mile example! If I could have a mint R5 tucked away I would, but...
I'd rather have a trophy than a 205. And why are they so expensive when there's always loads for sale? Only the best lowest mileage ones sell for silly money and isn't this trophy one of those?
Tried to jump start it off the wife's car, no change so I took the new starter off and put the car back together for another trip to the garage because rain is forecast forever now.
And the 1.2 died today😢.
Having previously whipped the starter off I knew how to do it so ordered a lucas one from euro car parts ready to fit it while the weather forecast was good. I collected it on my way home from work and had a quick look to make sure it had the 3 tapped holes for mounting and wasn't like the one...
Brake saga continued 🙄. After that let down I paid a visit to my usual garage and asked of he'd fix the brakes. As the car couldn't be driven he gave me the number of a local recovery guy who agreed to drop the car at the garage for me. And then he didn't bother to turn up. Or ring to say why...
And it's back!
Time for a roundup of the last few weeks. When I stripped the car for the dead gearbox I discovered that the front pads were nearly dead and the discs were ready for the scrap man.
They are the only front discs the car has had on since I bought it in 2016 so they've not done...
Rub his face in it why don't you! He spent 20 years building a clio track car and got nowhere and now you want to show him how well his parts work, ya c**t 😂.
They are a nightmare. The cover is hardcore af and the ecu mount is like bible paper it's suck a s**t thing to have to wrestle with.
I didn't have a good time with it 😂.
