Ok I'll do it that way. I just didn't want to take all the wheels off again once all the brakes are fitted which is why I wanted to do it one at a time.
Cheers mate. So I can fit discs and pads on one side, flush the brake fluid, then repeat for the next side or should I fit all brakes first before starting the flush?
I'm going to be following this guide to flush my brakes but I have a few questions.
Can this be done without the eezibleed kit?
I'm replacing all my discs and pads too so I'm guessing the brake fluid flush should be done after this?
Got some of this today in preparation for fitting my brakes and I noticed it comes with a warning that it cannot be used on roads. Why is this? Just because of the colour?
Hi,
Does anyone know which torque wrench I would need to fit my front and rear discs?
From what I can tel the rear needs to be 175nm and the front needs to be 280ish?
Maybe a stupid question but will I definitely need one? I've seen one in Halfords for £80 but I was hoping to pay less than...
Does anyone know which of these is better? The 110's on camskill cost slightly more than the 115's. I've heard good things about the 110's but I haven't heard anything about the 115's.
I think the k110's are £270ish on camskill which seems like a decent price.
Finally ordered some new all round discs and pads today. Spent most of Saturday washing, waxing and claying the Clio.
Will be ordering some new tyres when I finally decide which ones I want.
g172 your mailbox is full so I'm unable to PM you.
Am I right in thinking the below is what I need from you? Also, are these still the prices or have they gone up/down?
front Brembo oem pads £29
front Brembo HC discs £45
rear genuine Renault discs with bearings/abs rings £99
rear Brembo oem...
Thanks, the non cup ABS ring looks the same as the one I got off eBay but I think I'll just take it to the garage and let them deal with it. I need new discs and pads anyway (see image below) so I may as well get it all done at the same time.
Thanks for the confirmation. Yeah I've been noticing exactly what you have explained so I'm going to get it took to the garage to fit a new one next week.
Mine isn't a FF so that should be the cheaper one? Do you have a link to the right part on eBay so I know I've definitely got the right one?
Just checked my ABS rings and the rear ones look fine. However, the front driver side ABS ring looks like the below image.
I'm guessing this is cracked and will be causing the ABS to kick in?
I've scrapped console gaming and I've setup my PC to be a media centre using XBMC and various other plugins including Steam which works great.
The problem is I like to play games with friends locally instead of online which PC games seem to lack.
I have two Xbox 360 controllers that I use with...
I can't see the rear abs ring at all, it looks like I'll need to remove the wheel.
In the meantime I've ordered a ring for £1.99 which will apparently fit so not much harm if it doesn't.
Does anyone have any guides on how to fit these?
I drive down this road everyday and I've never seen them. If they are catching people speeding then they're going to make a huge profit because nobody sticks to the 50mph and then 40mph limits further up when the road is clear (Apart from me obviously).
Can I get an ABS ring without buying new brakes?
I think I've cracked mine on the rear passenger brakes and could do with getting it fixed rather than getting a new set of brakes.
If this is possible can anyone point me in the right direction for one?
