As above, new shocks, lowering springs and re-alignment and you'll be sound, maybe change the tyres as well as they look near done. I can get up to - 2.40 with AMAX springs and camber bolts
Will the nut not just bolt back onto the broken bolt as they're much longer than they need to be? I done the same and mine just went back on the broken bolt.
Presumably you're on road tyres in 195/50/15 if so just drop the pressures 2-3 psi and then go out and build, build, build. Use the turn in and apex cones and also the brake boards to gauge your braking distances. Also use the last lap as a full cool down lap, this is important as you don't want...
You should book onto a skid pan training day mate, you'd gauge the cars traction breaking points and how to handle it when it lets go, it'd be invaluable as you could really push on knowing how to handle it at the limit.
Weird then, I've grooved my Brembo's before but only because I'd burnt the set of pads on track to the metal then had to drive home. Ive also grooved discs when the pad has crumbled and debris has got trapped between disc and pads surface.
Sounds like both discs and pad are goosed then as the pads will have matching grooves and would take a while to smooth out again on new discs, maybe try Pagid OE discs as I've ran these on a really heavy (1700kg) Mazda 6 MPS with aggressive pads for long periods on track and they held up great...
They could just have pad deposits on them, when warped under heavy high speed braking the steering wheel vibrates violently in your hands, if you're just feeling pulsing under your foot then doesn't sound like warping just pad deposits on the disc. Do a run-out test and check for DTV (Disc...
I've managed to warp a set of Focus ST 320mm Brembo HC discs on the road in less than 1000k miles, my own fault though as I abused them learning how to left foot brake, then held the car on the foot brake whilst stationary, DOH!
Just ordered some Textar replacements from Mister Auto for £40 a set.
Haha not me really, probably this fella below who's been spotted before in St Helens wearing a bra!

If you're a novice with no or little track experience then just get a set of cheap 15s with semi slicks (used ebay tyres are peanuts) , make sure the brakes, suspension and chassis are relatively fresh and get some uprated front pads (CL, Ferodo, Mintex) and you're good to go. Learn the car and...
It would yeah, but much more beneficial to a novice as it would teach them the lines and braking zones of the track and also importantly for me track etiquette. You wouldn't believe the amount of tools on track days who drive like complete idiots, they're mostly in high end cars TBH who don't...
For a few grand more you could have the best Cosworth ever made, and its proper spec'd. Still madness for a 30 year old Ford though!
