AST's were on the car when I bought it, H&R's were on the pearl white 220.
Brembo calipers are from the R26, 197 era.
Have to use 16mm spacers to clear the calipers with OE wheels on a 7.5J
Pure Motorsport rear 10mm shims are the go to but I'm using a 5mm universal spacer on the back.
I'm...
Thanks Dan, not sure if there is a difference on the steering wheel but I've seen one advertised from a 2017 220 in ok condition. I need to find some photos to compare, what I really wanted was the RS18 steering wheel. Stupid me should have ordered it months ago when a friend gave me a part...
Impending MOT gave me the kick in the butt to tick a few jobs off a list that quite frankly couldn't be bothered to deal with. Very unlike me but for months going through a phase of owning it but neglecting it, sitting out on the road looking sorry for itself.
Thankfully through Sash having...
On the Mk4 200-220 page, should be on a exchange basis or outright. As we know he's a more than worthy option if not the only option for hybrid turbos, and more than competitive on price. He pretty much used my car as a test mule for multiple product setups.
Should have just bought mine 😁
Phase ones can have the software update as I had it done at Renault on my old 13 plate, it's night and day different.
Mine's a b*****d Clio where it's a 200 with 220 parts.
220 steering rack is quicker,
Hybrid turbo anyway.
220 LED headlights
220 rear LED lights to be fitted
Both front...
Caution indeed, there's a lot to think about and not only just jumping in, turning the key and going out.
No stranger to these cars, I had a few with the last back in 2008. There's a soft spot for sure but is it enough to go through the initial changes. The Clio is used maybe once every 2...
Interesting scenario came up last weekend, a very good friend of mine has offered me his original and very clean 1990 Glacier White Renault 5 GT Turbo.... For my Clio.
Brief thoughts, it would have to go into storage. I could take it out on weekends for a spin out which is pretty much all I do...
Had to buy a new battery, absolutely dead with a multimeter reading of 4.87 volts 🙄
Ordered a new one at Renault as the one fitted was main dealer with a 3 year guarantee. It turns out the manufacture date falls just in the 3 years so I'd like to think it's covered, parts guy kind of agrees but...
Aren't they the old school 285mm R21 Taxi disc conversion bracket extenders? Used to have them on one of my 5GT Turbo's. I believe the other mod was fitting the 259mm discs and Valver calipers on the 5s?
It doesn't look painted it looks matt, I'll have to sort some pics and send em over. Wasn't sure if it could be re bonded, filled and painted like a satin black.
Cheers mate, oh was thinking of you the other day as I've caught the front splitter and put a couple of small cracks on it. I was wondering if it's something you'd be able to fix at your place of work.
A year today I headed up to Durham to collect the Clio, not used it since the roof wrap 5 weeks ago so a drive out. Still need to fit the 220 rear lights and must book it in for a service. She's been absolutely spot on, not used much but nice to have it there as and when ☺️
Thanks mate, really appreciate it. It needs a deep clean, it's been sitting around outside for so long without any tlc. It deserves better.
We also need a small group car n coffee morning meet we've all not had a catch up for ages.
Thank you, it's getting there. Still a few small jobs to do like removing the gel badges on the lower rear door trim, fitting the blackpack front RS badge, rear LED lights. It also needs a bloody good clean
