It needs to go when i get some spare money. I was having issues with non start when i first got the van, I must have cranked it on and off 15-20 times when fault finding and it never showed any sign of going flat?
New kunifer brake pipe and more Motul rbf600 fluid and we are back up and running. Test drive lastnight on shopping run brakes feel great.
Bought a bargain pipercross panel filter for £18 new off ebay and fitted the cold air feed to the airbox tonight. I would have routed feed behind battery...
Managed to get a few hours on it on Sat
Vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts on, excuse the rusty bolts did not have time to tart up
Espace V6 airbox on. Tight as feck to get in even with ph1 airbox pipe ! Just need to connect a cold air feed to it - @Ricardos has kindly sent me some over so...
Stick a few sport bits on it, grill, xenon headlamps, set of lowering springs, wheels & sport steering wheel etc all cheap mods and make quite a difference. Heres my dci rocking similar mods
As in previous post i had issues with the camber up front. I set it myself last year by elongating the top strut holes on the shocker with a carbide burr (oldskool way same as the gt turbo cup racers done it).
When i set it last year i done some maths and worked out how much the holes needed to...
It will be sad to see it go. From what ive read they are running events until the end of the year, hopefully the Renaultsport trackday in October will still go ahead
Give the megane a quick enhancement too. Started at 430pm last Sat, by the time it was taped and clayed it was 7pm. Quick hit with poorboys white diamond worked in with a finishing pad and then followed by a coat of collinite 476s before the light went. It needs a full correction badly but not...
Got a bit done over the weekend
List from last time
1.Fit new rear cylinders, adjust shoes and bleed/flush fluid with fresh rbf500 - done - front pads are quite far down so got some pbs fronts on order

3. Fit V6 airbox -...
Cheers mate, its getting there ! Got a few more bits planned for it when money allows. Its an awesome daily driver at the moment, rides well on the bc's and ice cold aircon, plenty of power and half decent mpg.
Been thinking if i can get away with extending it forwards to make it bigger haha...
172 cup are longer than stock. Ring up Rpd and they can confirm which ones you need. Firstline also do an aftermarket one to suit but they are a carry on to get and not much cheaper than genuine Renault. You want quality tie rod ends too oem, lemforder or trw
I had a set of part worn ps3s off the fella on ebay, great value for money they had 7mm of tread. Good wet & dry grip for road use.
Ad08rs are great too cheap as chips. Yet to use mine in anger on track, see how they fair at Blyton. Perform great on fast road use in the dry though.
I have an ebay special 20ton press that i paid £140 for years ago..its been a good bit of kit and has paid for itself loads of times. I only really use it for pressing new bearings in - i belt the old ones out with hammer and chisel, the shock gets them moving no bother.
Also great for pressing...
Give it ten years and the prices go up and everybody will be regretting breaking them for nowt and whinging about the high prices of parts become rare, same as the R5gtt owners now lol
Engine swap is easy enough on these. Stick a new clutch in whilst engine is out, fresh belts/dephaser, New service items and good to go for plenty of miles
In other news i fitted the Bc coilovers to the mrs meg 250 cup. Had a mare doing it as somebody had been there on the passenger side and fecked up a couple of bits. All sorted now looks and drives great, really impressed with the bc's for the cash. Lowered 40mm front 30mm rear from stock...
7:30pm job done and absolutely knackered due to heat and lack of food. Looks ok though and free
I had planned to collect a pair of ktec/vibratechnics mounts in Darlington so straight in the clio to get them after fitting dash ended up getting food at 10pm lol. My engine has a bit of a rock now...
