Still not managed to have too much time on this, which I really do need. I might take it away with me when I'm away with work next week for something to do in the evenings.
I'm only level 3 but have tried (and failed, many times) to kill bandits at level 16. Well, managed to kill one then the...
Cheers Ant.
Always make sure you have your battery full charged. I need to remember to just leave my camera instead of looking at an image half way through a star trial/timelapse. Creates a gap which then looks s**t.
Cheers.
I've been looking at it again tonight and I need to make some more lens corrections to remove some more distortion of the house and remove the stray branches on the left.
Another from the same night as the above shot.

And I picked up a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 for a steal the other day, ended up going to Knowsley safari park today with the wife and little one. Pretty tricky shooting from the car window. Came out OK though IMO...
EE do a wifi dongle. We have one on the boat and it's usually decent enough for 4g.
Iirc, we top up £30 and that gets you 10gb. Lasts for 30 days. Might he bale to get better deals though, we've had it for a few years.
How you finding the 35mm @Christopher. ? Which one is it you have?
Took these over the last few days.

Looking forward to Skye. Trying to decide if I need a new lens beforehand though.
Picked this up today. Had a couple of hours on it and it seems pretty decent. Didn't wait for the update (ps4) but I'm hoping it fixes some details such as masses of missing water, shading details etc.
Game play will take a while to get used to I think. I also managed sell things in my...
Off to Skye second week in March. Going to stay in Fort William for the first night then head over first thing.
Plan on going to Glencoe on the way up and a couple of spots at Loch Lomond.
@Geddes where did you stay on Skye or did you camp?
We have Fort William booked already.
My mate came round and installed the Wookie build and it uses UK Turk mainly but there are a few others on there. Seems OK.
Might try and stream the NFL on it tonight for the US commentary and adverts if I manage to stay awake.
Exactly that. 4-5 headshots to bring someone down, or nearly a full magazine of body shots (close up). Grenades didn't really do much damage either. Maybe it'll be fixed for release or at least patched in if they don't do it in time.
Cheers @nius02
It's something I'll be trying on my next sat of days off.
You should get a better milky way shot in a few months when more of it is visible in the northern hemisphere.
I don't know about using a bridge for timelapse.
If much rather get a second hand dlsr with a good all round lens and an intervalometer and go from there.
A lot of Nikon have it built in. Canon don't.
Believer it or not, a dslr will be just as easy, if not easier to use than a bridge.
A couple from me.

And a new style which I want to do more with. Time slice, which is a number of images stacked and then a slice from each frame kept. Would work better over a longer time (probably a few hours going from day to night) but I tried it...
Yeah I've got the Hero, was the most basic model last Christmas (might be a newer one out that you can adjust now) very limited on what you can do with it. I should have bought a better model.
Bear in mind that the cheapest gopro won't allow you to change the intervals. It's 2 shots per second so just think how long you want to time lapse for.
I left mine running the other week on the boat and I ended up with 11,000 images to chuck into photoshop.
You can speed it up once edited but...
Downloaded it overnight and had an hour or so this morning.
Seems good initially. It'll take some getting used to the controls with regards to cover etc. I kept getting thrown around in circles when I was trying to evade some flame thrower guys. I got burnt to a crisp.
Had an email through with a beta code this afternoon.
Finishes tonight though so I think I'll just wait for the full game rather than download for a couple of hours and have half an hour on it before I go to bed.
Looks good though.
In Pembrokeshire at the moment- Abysmal weather but managed to get a few shots this week.
Need to remove the dust spots off this when I get back (and probably the birds too)
