Unfortunately this is something that applies to most of the motor trade :(
Lol, I wouldn't be surprised to get that line.
I will go chat with them, see what they can do.
Because, in all honesty, they are a bunch of stereotypical garage pikeys. They fit tyres and thats about it. The only reason I use them is because they have a Hunter balancing machine and a laser alignment rig.
They have the tools, just not sure if they have the skills. The kind of place where...
Is it a specialised task, or should anyone with a decent alignment rig know how to do it?
Basically, if I fit my camber bolts myself and take it round the corner to Formula 1 Autocentres who have a laser alignment rig, will they know what they are doing in setting up camber?
Or am I better off...
You weren't lying about the hammer Fred, the neighbours did not approve :)
The retaining screws weren't that bad actually. I did worry a bit when the spanner slipped out of the first one, but it was fine.
And the vibration I picked up from my latest trackday has now gone, so it looks like a...
Does anyone have pics of carbon bits (diamonds, splitter, washer blanks, mirrors, etc) on an Iceberg Clio? I'm tempted to do a few bits, but Iceberg is an odd colour, and adding any highlights brings out the blue in the paint and can look really odd.

Good pics Luke. How many people ran in the end?
Re: Is your clio sport for racing or polishing?
Trackdays.
It gets washed once a track day (so about every 4 months, lol). I was driven into and the rear boot lid has a massive dent in it. But I cba to fix it as it offers nothing but cosmetic advantages. Rather spend the money on trackdays and...
My idea of a good Forum meet is to meet up, chat, then all come back to the forum and continue chatting. Unfortunately any chatting that could be going on is overshadowed by some pointless willy waving contest full of insults and abuse (partly caused by this forums pretty much non existent rules...
This colour combination always has issues. In isolation its a great combo, but unfortunately everyone will think you are just trying to make it look like a Williams.
Personally I think gold and blue look great, and F1s on phase 2s look fine.
In simple terms, they angle the wheels in such a way that under cornering there is increased surface area of the tyre on the road, and therefore more grip.
There is a good explaination here:

I'm fitting them for track use to improve cornering...
Camskill are out of stock. Blackcircles don't have them. Deamon Tweaks have them at £80 and Tyre Trader has them at £81.
My Tyres used to have them at £63 a few months back, but now they have gone from their site and I emailed them the other day and they said they don't supply them (:S).
All...
The Federal 595 RS-R is great. Harder than the Toyo R1R yet gives just as much grip, meaning they last longer. And they are cheap too, if you can get hold of them.
They are great on the road in the dry, as you would expect, and in the wet they are good as a normal budget road tyre.
A set will...
Its the fact that RSRs are the same price as PE2s thats brought them into the equasion. I've always dismissed things like R888's as being to expensive for a cheap track car, and having 'to much' grip. The RSRs are a good middle ground, and the price just makes it a no brainer.
Suspension first...
Yeah, thats the issue I had between choosing. Tyres will make the single biggest difference.
However, it would be good to feel the difference the suspension makes on comparable tyres (I have done Bedford already on the PE2s) without masking any difference with the change in tyres.
Also means I...
Fun = reducing understeer and improving front end grip. Speed is irrelivent as any Clio gets owned on the straights by most other things, its all about the twisties.
I think I am going to postpone the tyres and just do the springs, shocks and front camber. My PE2s have plenty of tread so I will...
I've done 2.
After the first I decided the 16 wheels and Toyos needed to go.
After the second, and a passenger in a mates MX5 with RSRs, I've decided the PE2s can be bettered for the same money, and it needs to be lower and stiffer.
