or you could just use a normal micro usb cable, cut the USB end off, buy some of those ends from maplin and make your own cable up (so you have less joins)
edit - surely you only need the power for when its in your car anyway? or are you connecting it up to you hu?
Just measured the size of my filter, and these new ones (as expected) are smaller than mine - they are 2.5cm smaller at the wide end (but the same at the bottom end), and 5.5cm smaller in length. Mine has actually got damaged from rubbing on the headlight and connection box quite badly, so this...
I have given you all the info in my post above
an alternative is to the one I used is http://www.sealantsandtoolsdirect.co.uk/vehicle_related/geocel_auto_rtv_silicone_rubber_sealant_and_instant_gasket_310ml_black_P23933.html?gclid=CPv_hraz3MECFfHKtAodbzYAaA - but I used the one I posted...
It was the default option, and I thought it doesn't hurt to be left on as technically you could change your mind / clicked the wrong one :-) Should lead to the same result in the end.
it says it needs oiling after you wash it, which should be about every 6months or 10K I expect? I have left mine for 2 years, and Dan@SJM said my tb was dirty when he changed my cambelt, but not the worse he's seen. I think if I have done it at the intervals above, it would have been clean.
Everything under 4K sounds a bit like a scooby, then it breaks into more of a roar. check out my youtube videos, I'm think there's a few on there with my on board camera which might give you an idea (although iirc the mic might have been a but close so clips sometimes) -...

? don't get confused with the metal pipe - that's measured on the outside diameter and the wall thickness is 2mm, so the internal bore is 64mm. With the pipe your looking at, you would need metal joiners because even if the pipe did fit, its not really strong enough to be clamping onto.
slot straight on to what?, the inside bore of the filter is 70mm, same as the inside bore of the pipe - thus you will need metal joiners. On the alloy pipe, the outside diameter is 70mm.
no i dont think so. It says the bore is 70mm and wall thickness is 5mm, so 80 overall. If you want to use that, you will also need some 70mm joining bits to go inside each end of this, about 5cm worth, plus 2 more jubilee clips.
Not really, and behind the headlight is the best place for it..: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/1-2-induction-kit-location-%E2%80%93-does-it-really-matter-a-short-article-reveals-the-truth.699570/
yep thats mine. I have actually just had the dephaser changed and it sounds almost exactly the same. will be taking my old one apart to see how worn it was.
use one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-182-SPECIAL-HEAVY-DUTY-EXHAUST-CLAMP-NEW-/121471112447?
and some of this when fitting: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repairs/head-gasket-exhaust-repairs/loctite-5920-premium-silicone-copper-gasket-maker-sealant
it wont leak...
yes it can, but you will have to sort out a breather pipe / find one with a breather that fits. Also you will not have the 'suspension' section that the oe bend provides to help stop the filter moving, not sure how that would be a problem should the filter rub. Mine rubs against the batter and...
