We'll be testing a whole system on a 182, as trying to find a 172 with a standard exhaust to do back to back testing is like rocking horse shi...
The manifold is one part of a high spec engine package and isn't really designed as a bolt on power increase more of a necessity on an engine where...
The first one we sell is going to be £2k and then we'll have a spring sale ;)
This gear linkage has got to be the most difficult part we've ever developed - it was literally four days for two of us just to get a cobbled up prototype to work, but now it's very simple and feels like a rear drive...
If you want a quick fix try this : http://www.henkelna.com/us/content_data/141299_LT5557_5452SSF448695.pdf
We've used it here in hydraulic stuff and it's ace.
I am slightly biased but the allen key head in our studs does make it easier to fit them and why not support a small company?!
In stock and ready for next day delivery by the way!
Fred: they're not Turner studs but very similar.
By moving the wishbone mounts up so much you are putting a huge twisting force into the tin foil subframe legs and may make things worse for yourself by having loads of flex that you never had before thus making your static suspension set up move all over the place when loaded dynamically. You...
I'm with you on that Danny, I couldn't believe how much the material costs were, then there's the water jet cutting, the folding, the countersinking of bolt holes and welding of spacers and a drop down section to allow for the gear linkage.
We may well supply all kits with a 1310 but would like to know more about the cars that are having difficulty first so that we can either supply different belts for different PAS pumps or all the same belts.
If you want to order ring us and we can supply you with a 1310.
We are looking onto this problem at present. It would help greatly Jonff if you could have a quick look at the label on your PAS pump for the part number and also on the PAS pulley.
The kit was developed on a PH1 engine and I just want to check the PAS pumps or pulleys aren't different on...
What plug?!
Sorry I thought we were talking about a track car as in just a track car not an occasional track day car. I'm confused as usual.
Fred - £10k for six months work seems very reasonable, want a job?
Personally I think all competition builds should start from the same point:
Safety first - you are the most important part to consider when you build a car so get the best safety gear you can afford. Get a decent roll cage professionally fitted, with the best seat and harness you can afford and...
We are open now so give us a ring to sort it out - we are very helpful and will help you find a solution to the problem.
The belt we have supplied should be a 4pk 1295. If it is too tight to get on then either try slackening the PAS pump mounting bolts and moving the PAS pump (this is the...
Kevin,
Yours is the first one that we have heard that has had a problem like yours. It will have been caused by the alternator not being tightened up enough and putting undue stress on the alternator tensioner. If your belt lost it's tension when the bolt broke then this is definitely the...
I do enjoy reading this continuous they work/they don't work debate!
The front of a Clio is obviously a macpherson strut arrangement, when the tyre is loaded in a corner it is being pushed in at the contact patch laterally towards the centre of the car, there is a pivot point at the ball...
What box have you got Hal? The sadev box we have (5 speed in std casing) has a bigger input shaft and we can't fit the standard bearing over as the centre hole isn't big enough. The box had a bodged bearing from something or other and a cut and shut fork which wasn't great. I'm looking into...
Hello all,
Thanks for the feedback both good and bad! We are indeed a small family run business and at the moment are extremely busy (diary full until 21st Nov!)
Bozo, we did respond to your e-mail and it was indeed a bit slow, in our defence we have to price postage with FedEx and they can be...
Hi Guys,
We are after a loan of a Cup to develop a lightweight pulley kit much the same as our aircon delete kit. We would need the car for up to a week but probably much less (maybe even a day) to fit the pulleys.
All of our pulleys will fit straight on but we need to check alternator pulley...
There may well be a gearlinkage in the pipeline, also some engine mounts and rose jointed adjustable front wishbone package.
I think it must be something to do with not getting out very much that makes us Cornish produce such good stuff!!;)
Colin Satchell, Sandy Brown and myself work very closely on all things Clio but we all work for ourselves. Sandy is an absolute genious with everything engine related (wait to see what he's cooking up in the F4R department with us) and Colin is a machinist/fabricator extrordinaire. We try not...
Actually (theoretically at least) the spacers on the wheels should help overall grip levels especially large ones on the front. Widening the track reduces the weight transfer in a corner, of which a FWD hatchback has in abundance. Anything you can do to reduce this weight transfer on the front...
