sooo was driving down the road and heard something in the engine bay make a clunk. thought nothing of it as car was running fine. went to park up and had belt squeel.

the bolt that goes through the alt to the new bracket has snapped! has anyone who has one of these kits seen this happen before? kinda worrying if its done that on the road and i wanna use the car on track alot :/

I'm sure someone else had the same fault. I am probably going to go for the cup set up now.

Yours is the first one that we have heard that has had a problem like yours. It will have been caused by the alternator not being tightened up enough and putting undue stress on the alternator tensioner. If your belt lost it's tension when the bolt broke then this is definitely the cause.
Make sure the M10 altenator bolt is done up tight and you won't have any more problems - the kit is more than up to the job of dealing with use on track!!
