Something to do with bullshit EU regs, I think it cleans the fuel vapours or something like that. You don't need it, I was going to have a go at removing mine today but I've bottled it!
Awesome shots, and great timing. I'm off there on Saturday for a few days.
Recommend going anywhere? Might not have time as Im working but you never know. I definitely want to get the typical shot from the peak though ;)
Cool, I'll look out for that tomorrow :)
My next challenge is to remove the carbon canister. From searching I found these steps from Graham_172:
1) open bonnet and locate piping to inlet manifold from charcoal filter. Cut pipe and seal with a stop or cap.(make sure this is done well or the...
Well I carried on with my attempts at the brake cooling ducts. Piping arrived this morning, cut it to length and fitted it to the fog surround. Only I don't have any tool capable of cutting a circle in the arch liners, so that will have to wait :(
And I haven't even attempted the drivers side...
I know. I was going to get a yozza from Fred@BTM but he's out of stock.
I was going to ring Charlie at Prospeed but didnt get round to it today, might do it tomorrow ;)
Don't think so mate. Going to save some $$ for the trip, and I'm eyeing up a new camera lens too, that aint cheap as you can...
If you have no worries about living with a car like this, which in my opinion is absolutely fine, and you don't plan on selling......then DO IT!
I've kept all the bits I've taken out, and I am trying to do a for sale thread for everything I've taken out but I'm never in the country long enough...
Thanks guys :)
Yeh I will eventually take the seats out to take out all the rest of the tar, and MAYBE spray the inside black, but I'm not sure if I can be assed with that!
What is this brown sound stuff you speak of? Is it easy to remove? I ask because I may be taking the dash off to remove...
I thought I'd start a project thread, I never thought I would but the car is sort of turning into a project :)
First off, bought the 182 back in October 08 for £5950
This is the advert pic :)
Very pleased with it, only problems were the consumables, so it needed two new front tyres and...
My rear ones are the same as Chrispy's.
I'd watch the front ones though, I WAS going to mount them in the holes where the seats came out but I think they were too far forward to work well.
I have a 4 point harness (with Bimarcos btw). I mounted the front two points in holes I drilled in a good spot just behind the seat.
The rears were easily mounted in the holes that the ISOFIX bar attached to.
All were secured using proper spreader plates etc
lol, coincidence. Just come back from the garage with this problem! Damn ASts :(
I might try it a pikey way and drive on some bits of wood to get enough clearance ;)
Well I stayed in the Iberostar Dominicana, which is on the same complex as the Punta Cana one I believe.
Awesome place, free food and bar! Loads of activities to do, beaches are amazing. Not really any negatives to be honest, but I was only there for two days remember!
I dont think 4pots are worth it, and a few people on here with them will tell you the same!
Get some Brembo HCs and DS2500s/1144s or if you have the budget some higher spec pads :)
Why are you hung up on 20bhp/ton all the time?! Just work out the weight difference and calculate the bhp/ton different, not work out what the weight should have been if I've gained 20bhp!
