Will you say that when cars steer, accelerate, and brake for themselves too?
To me driving is a joy and the more I can be involved in the art of it, the more I have to work at it, the more enjoyment I get out of it.
I'm the complete opposite to yourself...to me, having a car change gear...
Not at all. They have a high-grip coating so I can keep a really light touch on the wheel. They're really tight fitting...but look huge due to the external seams.
This was filmed last July...and is my first attempt at rendering something in 4K. I have a couple of 4K cameras so will shoot something in UHD soon but, for now, this is just a test using 4x 1080 angles all pulled together.
Even though I say it myself...it looks fantastic on my great big...
I completely understand this...changing gear? Why would you want to do that when an ECU can do it for you more?
Taking that point another step forward...driving a car? Why would you want to do that when an ECU can do it for you?
The autonomous car is almost here...will we defend that as much...
It's a gearbox thing for me; I don't need to drive it to know I am not going to like it. If I can't get my left hand and left leg involved I'm not interested.
Some other manufacturers have realised this and are offering manual gearboxes on previously auto-only cars. Renault should follow suit...
Mine's the same, 3rd gear, any speed, nil traction. 4th gear goes too with the tiniest steering input.
The roads at the moment are useless.
As for the 5k issue...can that be overcome or is it something they're stuck with? My ST is quite revvy up top which I'm glad about!
These engines are a little different. they can start just fine, idle just fine, drive just fine, feel just fine, but it'll be putting out 150bhp instead of 180bhp because someone who's done cambelts on other cars said "I'll do it, I've done loads before, how hard can it be"?
I had the exact same thoughts about you sweetcheeks.
ESP is variable but traction is either fully on or fully off...I've only done these tests on the road with it on. I'm sure there'll be no change but will give it a go to be sure.
I've been running these since mid-summer last year and found the sidewalls to be quite compliant...certainly not a step change from the OEM Bridgestone RE050 I was running before.
I was ready for the usual WTAF?! sense when driving away from the fitters first time after they were changed but...
Apparently you can get "left foot braking" from an aftermarket remap on your Fiesta ST. Ever the cynic I thought I'd test it for sure and ended up with this...
Depreciation = what I paid Ford for it when new less what WBAC would give me for it today.
I know I could get more selling it privately but they're consistent and selling to them may well end up being what I do with it when I finally let it go.
It was basically about people that have sh*t internet and/or WiFi not being able to get a connection on their box/sub-boxes so they take forever to reboot and they have patchy streaming.
Having blanked the intake off with a Mountune plug it was worth a shot...
It was fascinating seeing how simple but intricate the inner workings of the symposer were.
We had one of these as a family car when I was about 12. HAP 107V. 345DL I think it was.
Not been taxed since '91 so it must have drifted off somewhere.
I guess it's not true torque vectoring...but it does apply back brakes a little to aid turning/minimise understeer. More so on the first couple of trackdays as I wasn't fully disengaged ESC wise.
LOL
I'm now struggling to think of even the slightest reason why I should?! It's something that...
