Brighton (Devils Dyke, Marina) Cliosport meet for the Summer 2017?

8th July is the only possibility for me.

    Fletch's BMW M2.

Oooooh, very nice, superb colour Fletch!

Brighton (Devils Dyke, Marina) Cliosport meet for the Summer 2017?

This is as good as on my doorstep so it'd be rude not to come along, there's some great roads around there and I'm always up for some car banter. So long as the confirmed date fits in with my family plans I'm in.

That makes me warm and fuzzy tbqfh. :kissingheart:

As upright as I possibly can. Anything even remotely reclined makes me feel as in control of the car as Mr Headshot clearly isn't in the picture above.

    My New Chicken Chaser

Don't you get sh*t all thrown up your back from the complete lack of rear mudguard?

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

None taken! Truth be told I'm a bit taken aback by how much it appears I have an audience now (although I do always tend to see sarcasm even if it's not intended)...and the pressure that comes with it to keep delivering content! I have a long list of topics to get through that will continue to...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

That's my one regret in life, getting hard for numbers instead of working on mushy tissue and creating some special people. Should I look like a chav?

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

Proper geeky stuff I know but there's method in my madness. The RS community will seriously knock one out over this sort of thing ten years down the line...my standard all its life car, with all that delivery prep still intact, should hold on to at least a percent or two more of its value. This...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

Unusual for internet posts I know...but here's some praise for a Ford dealer that gives sterling service.

I know, I know, I know...but lifting when changing gear is a 30 year ingrained natural reaction! I will do it at some point, in the name of science, while datalogging the whole thing. Hopefully I won't fcuk it up and lunch the engine/'box!

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

Yes I am and yes I think it does. Oh yes...in so far as no other 4WD hatch can do what this thing does, and it does it at sane normal speeds. No, it's pretty much exactly what I hoped and expected it would be. Sort of...sometimes I think "come on, come on!" before I look at the speedometer and...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

Never. You will be wrong! See above. In other news, while we had dry weather this morning myself and @Jeff simply had a chance to compare my RS and his M135i side by side, straight line acceleration, launching, and, err, drifting. Much fun was had...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I'll happily take some dynamic excitement when driving around corners over a laggy power delivery. It's certainly not lacking in a straight line unless you're comparing tenths vs an RS3/Golf R/A45. Including the initial fill up I've put £362.68 into it so far :fearscream: The fact that it's...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

1,400 miles now, two weeks of daily use, after my initial 4 day 1,000 mile marathon...thoughts? I can see why people tune them. Doesn't feel especially fast in a straight line, its immense torque is so progressive in the way it rapidly builds that there's no hint of drama at all. Around turns...

    New Car Ford

I've already got a nice one owner low-miler lined up in a good few years time to run as a daily alongside my then retired RS. I can't think of anything else that I'd rather have. They are such good cars once you get past the image and/or stereotypical owner that you'll then be sat right beside!

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

In a Ford RS engineering team technical talk that a load of RSOC members went to they said that launch control should be sidestep the clutch and flat for the first shift. I wanted to try it out, but I've never done it before and it just feels wrong! I'm paranoid I'll time it wrong and use 350...

Nothing too special...Tesco Momentum 99RON - that's all my Fiesta ever had so I'm sticking with it for the RS.

That was the first time they'd been properly used in anger in 1,000 miles from new. Quite a few have reported them smoking like that when they first get hot. In this one they managed flames...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I can get early to mid thirties if I put my mind to it...I've managed it for one trip to work so far and then my inner child took over again...which then gives me 25 to 26 mpg. I'm happy with that. It's been used domestically all day today...and the only slight issue was that the two plastic...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I'm 1,100 miles in now and it's still not been touched. I almost broke out the pressure washer earlier this evening but though "f**k it" and went for a blast across the Downs instead LOL

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

It does move with it on but not much...a second gear exit from a tight roundabout does need a dab of oppo and it all feels very controllable...but I don't know if that's my mega skillz or the car doing it all for me. It's all run in...I had 1k miles done in 3.5 days...launch control video...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

I've not gone balls out in the wet without traction control just yet...although I am comfortable with how the back moves around when exiting...I just don't know how much of that movement is limited by ESC intervention.
