Day 80 : The RS beats them ALL!

Not yet, next week. It's all I hear when I watch this video back, that f***ing spring creaking!

Day 80 : The RS beats them ALL!

Sorry to disappoint! I'm hoping for something along these lines at some point from the exhaust noise... Normality will be restored soon. I can't suppress my urges much longer. Not particularly...although I tend to take the C-Max if I'm running domestic errands, and at work I have a...

Day 80 : The RS beats them ALL!

It truly does...and not a spreadsheet or even so much as a mention of data anywhere. Plenty of cringe as usual though.

FLOL That makes me feel warm inside.

2013 Fiesta ST vs Clio 200 Cup comparison

Yes you can. I'm not aware of the intricacies or pitfalls in doing so. I'd imagine sourcing the wheel hardware wouldn't be cheap though!

2013 Fiesta ST vs Clio 200 Cup comparison

A-f***ing-men I did. I went into it direct from a 2009 Clio 200 and it was the far more capable road car. The Clio had the better throttle response, and ultimately on a track where low down torque matters mostly not one bit, was a little more rewarding. Given that my annual mileage is 99% on...

    Day 67 in the RS...

Hmmmmm. The point is slowly getting through, maybe I'll relegate them to biannual or annual updates only then. Maybe.

    Cookie's Golf R32

Hmmmmm, time to move it on me thinks. If I was happier taking my C-Max for grocery top ups instead of the RS with a 20 mile detour on the way home, I'd get it up for sale and find something else.

Don't want to drive it just for the sake of driving it?

    Nurburgring (outside) road crash

Ouch. Nasty incident! Very cheap and very easily installed dash cameras would help massively here too. That is if they're allowed. Have I read somewhere that they're not permitted in Germany?

    Day 67 in the RS...

It's flown by, nine weeks now! Think yourself lucky, this started out at over 30 minutes long, I hacked it all right back. It was a mix of both, they each do pretty much the same amount on mine. A decent prod of the throttle with an abrupt lift over 3k and off it goes. They are! They will...

How we used to buy games in the 90's...

"ACCESS - your flexible friend" - I haven't seen that logo for a loooong time. That makes me feel really very very old!

Yoko AD08r track tyre review, after being on the track (Look worse for wear)

They're fine. If my rears didn't look like that after a track session i'd check I hadn't suddenly grown a vagina.

Yoko AD08r track tyre review, after being on the track (Look worse for wear)

Is it rubber pick up? If it was wouldn't it be all over the tyre instead of gathered on one side only of all the tread blocks?

Yoko AD08r track tyre review, after being on the track (Look worse for wear)

Donnington's clockwise and that rear tyre just looks to me like you were having a lot of fun. Working the back when they're hot will roll/wear some of the surface across to the edge of the tread block. Other than cutting your session times down a little as said above I see nothing on those...

Yoko AD08r track tyre review, after being on the track (Look worse for wear)

That wasn't 1hr 20min non-stop was it? You had breaks to cool everything down every 15-20 mins or so?

Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

Any thoughts on Netgear Arlo Pro? It's been personally recommended to me and seems a good solution.

    Wet Track Day

I've not done a wet day for a good few years now but driving around a soaking Goodwood in my 172 Cup on A032 tyres taught me a huge amount about being gentle with the throttle and building it up slowly through a corner. Look at the day as an opportunity to learn?

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

There's very few cars I've ever owned where I've gotten into it and been on it straight away. They all take time to learn. Pedal positions, responses, pressures, all vary so much. It's only recently, at 3k miles in my RS, that I can honestly say I've been getting more of the shifts right more...

    MarkCup's 2017 Ford Focus RS

Anything from 5mm top this one with a monster 40mm lift! http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/ford-focus-rs-pedal-spacer-2016.html?gclid=CJj40cXB_tQCFUVmGwodFzAKYg I would so love to try that one out...anything other than the gentlest braking and the throttle pedal would be level with half way up your shin!

    Back to a Focus

Flapz and stickers make me 😢 Other than that, great choice! Get miles on it, power hard out of turns, get stupid grin stuck to your face.

LY Clio 200 EDC Trackday Shoes (Undecided)

I'd stick with silver, and a basic rattle can job for track only wheels is surely good enough. One of the sets I had for my 172 Cup I brush painted, badly, with bright yellow Smoothrite! Why not go loud with a blue or red?
