Anyone doing this DIY check the state of the bolts first on the sheild and if rounded don't even bother just cut the fecker off, if not rounded spray them up with penatrating fluid the night before attempting the job.
The RS3s are only good in the pissing down rain when new, wear ridiculously fast and have sidewalls of jelly. Go S-drives or something like the Kumho Ectsa KU39 which I found excellent on my old ep3.
I found it an arse of a job on axel stands TBH, the heat sheild being the biggest PITA, I just ripped it off I got that pissed of in the end. Also getting the old plastic stoppers out was a struggle, half of mine are left in there somewhere. Once prepped it's a 10 minute job to fit them.

Or if you need it today...
I'd just go CL as they don't need as much bedding in as Ferodo, key is to let them cool down properly, that's bedding in any pad or discs, and especially if both are new.
I've just fitted CL8 and oh my days they are incredible, CL5+ are pretty good but just lack that bite at the end of the...
You want high tensile set screws not bolts, your local screw fix or toolstation will do them for peanuts. Think they're 8.8 tensile, the same as what's on the car OE.
I found these connection a nightmare, dead easy when you know how though. Lift the red tab as high as it will go and lift the black tab as shown above. took me 30 minutes to figure this out, lol.
Sod using that in real life, it's slippy as fook, as I found out on my first ever session there in my old MPS coming out of lodge and over shot it and very nearly lost it but for Awd power getting me back in line.
Not gone near the stuff since, lol.
Just took the plunge on these tyres Three A P606 XL in 225/40/18. Only paid £72 for 2 delivered next day.
Will give my honest verdict once fitted and given a fair few miles driven in both the wet and dry, they're a new tyre on the market but get decent reviews so far....we'll soon see...
Get the new one Steve posted above and fit it yourself, not the hardest job in the world just make sure you don't pull the driveshaft out the gearbox end on removing the hub end.
I really need to get back on this game, damn Clio is taking up all of my spare time getting it ready for 2017 track days, the list of things to do seems never ending...
R888's are even better when painting the tread with cellulose thinner and wrapping them in cling film the night before a track day, wouldn't recommend on new tyres mind as it eats them up quickly, especially on warm days. Its great on tyres that have seen to many heat cycles and have gone hard...
This may need to be drilled out as nut extractors tend to have a wider casing to get a socket attached so wont go down the hole, you may be able to find a deep socket extractor set with a 3/8 or 9-10mm socket that would do the trick though, something like the below, but pricey...
The rings fit over the drive shafts and may not be fitted straight underneath the sensor, so the sensor wouldn't register the sine waves properly. You'll see what I mean when you get underneath the car and spin the wheel, also did the garage fit a 44 tooth ring? If not this would cause an issue...
