Sounds like the ring may have not been seated properly on fitting the driveshaft, rings are on both drive shafts. You can actually see them on the car to check if they're seated properly.
If you have a cracked ring you'll get judder what feels like the ABS kicking in at very low speeds when braking, if corroded then the light should only come on once driving as it won't pick it up. Sounds more like a sensor. Check they're all plugged in a gapped properly first of, also check the...
I've chosen cage before suspension as you cant really put a price on safety, mine is only a rear cage but a good one being made for the previous MSV track cars which bolts directly into the existing seatbelt mounts front and rear, plus couldn't have a full cage as its a road car as well. Clio is...
There's definitely wear with tyres on time trail, even after one lap and I don't find they reset, could be wrong though, but I always just restart if I've not beat the quickest time posted on here after one lap.
Handbrake cables
Headlight ballast
CL RC8 pads
MTEC grooved/dimpled discs
MSV cage
Corbeau Clubsport XL on X-low frames
OMP 4M 3" 4 point harness
All ready for its MOT tomorrow & first track day of the year a week on Friday.
Try pulling them of and fitting the other way as something isn't right there, and if that doesn't work send them back and just get a set of 40mm AMAX (re-branded APEX) from ECP for £50, I have them and they're great for the money.
The gaps between the coils are massive, what's the part No on the Renault group tag? They look like Scenic springs or something, bet that rides like a flump!
Not tried changing the position of the side mounts but they look very short and nowhere near long enough, I'm only 6"1 but I'm all legs, lol. As you say will need longer side mounts. The sliders on the seat are terrible as well and don't lock properly and they have huge spacers in between so...
Still finding the seat position to high though, need to bin the sliders I think, but looking at it seems the seat would be to far forward. Anyone else had this issue with this set-up?
You know what I didn't do stupidly was just plug the working passenger headlight into the drivers side. If it doesn't work then I'd know it's something to do with the loom to the headlight, saying that surely the indicator and side light wouldn't work if it was the loom? Gotta be the ballast!
So my drivers Xenon had never worked and it's Mot time, thought it must be the bulb, nope, ignigter nope, so must be the ballast, so changed them around and on turning the lights on its blows both headlight fuses. Put new fuses in and changed around the ballasts as they where and the passenger...
Purchased my Clio with new P Zero Nero's and found them awful in all conditions, I honestly find Rainsports better. Not tried PS3s but have had Ps2s which where fantastic, best all-round road tyre to date for me.
Nope its the one down from that and the T30 female bolts will be more than likely seized and will probably snap if you can get a grip on them, I've just cut mine off and its staying that way as the shield only protects the rear seat area, left the fuel tank thin shield in situ though. If they're...
You fitted them yet? Took me 3 feckin hours as I couldn't get the damn centre heat sheild off, had to cut it off in the end as the bloody Torx heads where all stripped. Fitting them took 10 minutes.
Ok so purchased both Pagid handbrake cables from ECP to actually see if they fit as I've read posts saying they do and others saying they don't, good and bad news... the NSR fits fine as its the correct length of 1420mm, the OSR however does not as its only 1430mm which is 50mm short, so I've...
I stand corrected. I always have mine at 30/30 hot pressures and find anything higher the car squirms about a lot, this is on track and using 15"s mind.
I'd say lower the tyre pressures first off, should be around 30/30 with PS3s, you only need higher pressures with soft side wall tyres like Rainsports. Maybe just get a set of Mintex M1144 pads coupled to Brembo HC discs if only used on the road, also new fluid, braided lines and maybe a...
