If I had leased mine, even allowing for the fact that I do 19k miles per annum, I'm certain the two year lease costs would be lower than what mine's cost me having bought it outright.
I bought mine for the long haul though, so I still have another 3 years and 60k miles all fully warranted by...
Is it really £300 for clutch parts? Surely labour when it's already dropped out like that is next to nothing?
Regardless, getting it done would be a no brainer to me!
Looks much better with non-italic plates by the way
Two hands/two fingers? It's quite simple really.
I've no idea why dinky screened iphone users can't get their heads around or are so resistant to this technique when you get the joy of a proper usable screen as a result.
The session I had as a passenger in a Renault press car around Goodwood backed that up for me. She was full on them for the entire session.
But that's not good enough for most because they absolutely positively can't accept that brakes are any good if there's no 'Brembo' logo on them.
They're all like that, over-servoed in the extreme.
It's their resistance to fade, lack of dust, pedal feel, and the fact that I've now done more than 30k miles on the original set that makes them a no brainer when it comes to replacement.
Yep. Just LOL at poverty spec. I spent hundreds on my 172 Cup to get close to what the ST has as standard. They may not be big, but the pad compound is ST specific and in a nutshell they're fcuking amazing for standard brakes.
A lap time comparison from a standing start, one car with launch control and one car without, means jack s**t.
As for the 'box, that's the car's nemesis IMO. It goes and feels and sounds like a Renaultsport Clio should, but you have a lethargic, and ultimately severely limiting, 'box that...
That was a good deal...I only managed £10,800 for my new 172 Cup in 2003. I think they retailed for something like £12,995.
The ST was a good few grand more but, allowing for inflation, I think that's more than evident in what you get for the money.
Just a small update today having been to Surrey Rolling Road in its new location...and Charlie's lost none of his former consistency...this is just 0.2 bhp different from the last run I had there in the old location...
29,850 miles now, still not tired of the firm ride, still enjoy the drive...
I find it similar to my non-cupped 200 - makes progress on the broken country roads I pound along every day just as well as that did.
At low speed I do find it really choppy but once up to speed I think it smooths out and works nicely.
That's because beneath the orange flake top coat they're both the same flat red. Agreed though. £725 for one blow over with glitter, I must have been mad.
As for rarity? A hatchback, hot or otherwise, should be an everyday car and not some rarely seen prized possession. They're shopping cars ffs.
It was the exact same press writing the poor reviews on the 200T that heaped praise on the original mk3 200, so I'd say yes, they've driven it.
Don't forget that a lot drove them back to back or in group tests with the Fiesta...which arguably is far more of a successor to the mk3 200. They...
I dropped in after lunch for an hour, lots of Clios on track including the rarest of the rare, a 200T! Great day for it.
Mental note to self; avoid right hand side of pit straight, it's absolutely covered in fresh moist moss in the winter from the low sun not drying it out, ever.
