    Petrol smell

It's the de-cat. There is no catalytic converter, so the fuel just goes to the outside world. They stink, especially on warm up as it should be a little rich to try and get the cat hot so it does its job quicker.

    Cliosport Surrey Rolling Road Day

It's 300% had a map and probably a pulley, possibly even a gearbox map, but I'll never know. Someone's saved me ~£3k at MRC/Revo anyway ?

    Cliosport Surrey Rolling Road Day

Literally no idea. Previous owner took it to Audi and they told him it was standard. Never driven another one so no idea how slow they are with only 330 horses pedalling it along haha !!

Well anyway this is me... And my "standard" 2009 B8 S4. 329HP book figure. Wasn't expecting that, but it sure does explain a few things !

    Driving a new car home

Day insurance. Get it towed or moved on a flatbed. Get the owner to drive it to yours and do the paperwork when you get home. Leave a healthy deposit, say 95%, get a friend to drive it to yours then call the owner and send money and do paperwork yourself as he's kindly left the V5 in the...

Didn't realise Honda was French. What a naff design flaw. How bizarre.

    Cookie's 2009 Honda Civic Type R GT

Why would that make any difference to anything ?! Do you turn the radio off, the HVAC and the heated seats to 'off' every time you get out too ?

Time to call it a day?

What did you expect ? Needy post is needy. It's very simple.. have you got time to fix and flog, or break it ? Only you know that. If yes, get on with it. If not, sell as is or give it away, or set fire to it, or keep it. Only you can decide to make time to use it on track if you "finish"...

    Road Trip/Tour 2019!

I think the only way you're gonna do this is to just set a plan that suits you. Do what you want to do and open an invitation, if anyone else comes along, call it a bonus. If you try and please everyone remotely interested, it will just go on for ever. Even organising a meet on here for 2...

Moving to a Mac/macbook.. anyone made the jump?

Why would it be cheaper..? It isn't VAT free. If your own company bought it as an asset then that has its advantages.

Moving to a Mac/macbook.. anyone made the jump?

Never had a virus or issue in the last decade. As above, just don't click anything too stupid. As for the expense, it should last you a decade if you want it to. I think my first MacBook was about £900 and I sold it for £600 about 4 years later.

Moving to a Mac/macbook.. anyone made the jump?

Had two Macbooks and two iMacs over the last decade+. Wish I'd bought one for uni. But there we go ! Still have a ~2013 13" MacBookPro and probably a ~2011 iMac Nano which is feeling a bit slow these days but I barely use it more than writing an invoice monthly. Hard drive failed on the first...
