Try something different. Getting out of your comfort zone will help.
There's a photography meet thread now, hopefully something will come of it and we will sort a meet out that's fairly central.
Will be good to chat to other people on here about photography.
I think that's where you need to spend the money and go for a canon model instead but it's likely to be at least double the price.
It'll do me for now until I can afford an upgrade
Cheers.
Nope, just a pauper spec 1.8. It'll do me for now though, still get decent images from it, just have to watch out for front/back focusing issues with it.
I think this was manual focus while guessing as the camera was so low to the ground.
Is it definitely not coming to the UK? It just not available yet?
I'm quite interested in getting one. Maybe import one if people manage to get it running over here.
So I played around 3.5 hours of Mordor. Seems quite a good game although the controls are still confusing me at times.
I didn't interrogate anyone for ages as I kept killing them.
This pic is from Laura's z3 compact. Straight from her phone to mine via WhatsApp. No editing or anything. Brilliant camera, probably one of the best out there at the moment.
Baring in mind that the room is pretty dark at the moment, just lit with natural light (or what's left)
Just been looking at this.
I need a game to tide me over until farcry comes out. Looks pretty good.
I'll nip to game today and see what they have as I have a gift card for there.
November launcher (pro) for me too. First thing I install on my devices.
Other than that, not much really. I had dash clock on my old nexus but I haven't put it on my 5.
I just use the standard Gmail app too.
I want a decent twitter app that can support three accounts as Falcon only supports...
Anyone played Bound by flame? It's £17.99 on the PSN store at the moment from £50.
Doesn't look that good and there have been some nasty reviews of it too.
I'm just bored of the games I have and want something to tide me over until I get either a new game in November from the multitude of...
Could do with a members map and try to get central from there.
I imagine Birmingham has a bit more to photograph than Nottingham. I've never been to Sheffield so don't know about there.
Birmingham is probably quicker on the train than Nottingham as there are less changes for me but I probably...
City would be decent I think. Probably better than trying to get a clear night in the country for stars.
Birmingham? Manchester?
I've never been to Birmingham so I don't really know whats there. Manchester is OK.
I could do London but I'd need a fair bit of notice to get the train ticket price down from £100 ish to £40 ish.
Most other places I'd drive, unless it was a city spot.
I'd be up for a meet one day.
I actually managed to get a tripod for under £50. The hama traveller pro. Suits me for when I'm walking around the mountains, at the beach etc. If I need anything more substantial I'll use my manfroto.
@gally If you are still looking...
I've not flashed my 5 so I'll just wait until it gets sent over to me.
Looks really good from the previews I've seen though and it apparently gives up to 30% more battery life.
Ah I see.
Yes, you can upload all of your music to your phone that is on your pc and stream it/download to device for free.
If you want to stream music from Google Play, tracks you don't already have, then you need to pay a monthly fee.
If you already have tracks on your phone which you have got from your computer /elsewhere, they will stay on your phone.
You can't use Google play streaming for free. It's called All access and it's a monthly subscription service at £9.99 per month.
Have a read up on it. It's a pretty good...
Seriously considering chopping my PS4 for for a XBone.
I've had nothing but issues with Error codes recently. The sync is shite on messages, it told me I had a message yesterday yet it only came through this evening.
Can't do anything to my profile as I get an error to say the connection has...
With Google play you have to pay a subscription for the music. There's no free and premium service. If you stop paying then all of the music you have cached on your phone disappears. It will re appear if you subscribe again though.
With Spotify you can stream over wifi but can't download them...
There are indeed plenty to choose from but they are not pure Android which I think is the big draw to the Nexus brand.
I couldn't be arsed to buy a phone then flash it to remove the bloatware etc just to run Vanilla.
I think they are trying to get into that market though. I don't know what OS companies use as I don't work in that environment.
I really can't see the size being a big issue, especially for those comparing it to the 6+ or Note 4. There is very little in it.
If you want a smaller phone then none...
Tbh, it's not something that I'll be getting as I still have a year on my contract with my Nexus 5. I'm more interested in lollypop, which I think will be a massive step up from kitkat.
It still looks a very, very impressive phone, and running vanilla, should be the leading flagship phone out there.
I really don't think that Google have dropped a ball with the 6.
One of the key things with Lollipop is the ability to switch between work and personal settings and for companies to monitor the work aspects. A lot of people have phones and tablets for work. This feature will negate the need for...
Cheers. I need to get the exposure right enough so the land in the distance isn't as noticable, its either that or just remove it in post which I don't really want to do.
Any closer to getting your 6d? I'm hoping to get mine after christmas.
Your iPhone images are really good btw.
