Haha this thread is a little old now, now own 3 clios! Got my mk3 but it's now completely standard which will be up for sale soon and a 1.2 mk2 for sale and now own a Racing Blue 182.
The wheels will fit straight on mate but you will have arch gap unless you have a set of coilovers, believe I...
Hi guys. Got a lowered mk3 and drove over a dead badger with a couple of passengers. Made abit of a ding noise and ever since the car makes a blowing (drone?) noise at as the engine passes certain rpms. 3500 is the worse. Holding the accelerator down a little and hovering at 3500rpm lets of a...
All fixed mate.
Managed to pry the rubber line of with a pair of pliers. You were spot on about it being overtightened in the past. Most likely when the car was built. The end of the bolt/thread had been enlarged as it was tightened into the flared end of the hardline.
Getting it back into...
Right I'll try to explain this the best I can. Researched with no luck as I haven't seen anyone encounter this.
I have purchased steel braided hoses. I have fit 3 braided hoses but I can not for the life of me remove the offside rear rubber line.
The bolt and thread that holds the rubber...
Ah brilliant. Yeah I should have really checked there first :P Well I should be picking up a 182 or 197 this time next year so I will have a lot more choice and I will definitely use you again. Well it's for generally fast road use as the car is my daily and I will be going round the Rockingham...
Ah. I was hoping that wasn't the case :(
I have already purchased Brembo Max brake discs. Sorry dude. I saw your name pop up numerous times on the forum as well. Do you just supply Brembo? I'll definitely use you in the future for discs.
Ideally I'm looking for a more aggressive pad as I...
Hi.
I've been searching the internet all afternoon for Ferodo DS2500 brake pads in the Clio mk3 (non sport/1.2-1.6) fitment. DS3000 seem to be out there but from what I have read they are suited for the track only and don't have much of a cold bite.
Already purchased Mintex 1144's but received...
Yeah I wouldn't buy a set new haha!
Looking for a Black GT rear bumper or SX splitter. The rear end looks so high up and short and even more so with the 17's.
Haha thanks for the comments guys. I only got the 17" Turinis the other day. Collected them for £400 but needed center caps that cost me £44.
My 16" cup turini's desperately needed a refurb and at £30/40 per alloy there isn't much difference price wise after selling them for £225 and I gained...
Been awhile since I updated this thread. Here's what my car looks like now.
Main changes are 17" Anthracite Speedline Corse Turinis, Clio 200 Seats (white trim) 197 Steering wheel and Black badges.
Easy swap mate. 4 large screws on either seat. Had to cut the airbag wire on my old seats though to separate them and then splice the wires together to my new seats. 4 of the wires under the drivers seat are the same colour though so it's trial and error until your airbag service warning light...
So yesterday my other projector headlight arrived so I went ahead at trying to fit them..
I got this far
and attached my passenger projector headlight before I realised the drivers side unit had a different connector (assuming it's a 197 xenon unit?) and the internals were loose as a clip...
Little bit of an update. I've got some pressed plates on now, replace my Halfords induction kit with a carbon fibre pipercross viper and tomorrow I should have my passenger projector headlight arrive and I will fit them both on Wednesday. Also ordered a set of the darker read aftermarket tail...
Loved it when I got my 1yr ncb! :) Do seem to have difficulties with non sport mk3's. There doesn't appear to be many after market upgrades you can just pick up of the shelf or buy online and fit straight on.
Took Ksykes awhile to find camber bolts that fitted. I've still got some Mark 2 sport...
Let me get a big brake kit first and strut braces to stop the torque from twisting my chassis then I'm all for it hahaha.
Tom mentioned to me some of the crazy figures your putting out lol.
Haha that's good! Didn't wipe out any £100k+ cars. I'd imagine it would understeer more than anything which is easier to correct then oversteer! I bet that little Fiesta can shift!
Talking about oversteer, I did a 1 handed drift the other day round a 90° left that takes you onto the A45 in...
Looks like a really good day. Need to go to some myself by the looks of things but my 1.2 wouldn't cope. DCI RAZ, fancy dropping a 225 engine in my mk3 haha?
I'd be down as often as possible when I eventually get a R27.
The big question though Tom is how did Kieran do haha? Especially on his...
Definitely. The whole car changes once its lowered. I remember complaining and wishing I got 17" alloys to fit the arches but once it was lowered 16's look great lol.
