So I spent all of 30 mins on this at the weekend, was surprisingly easy to access them all (except the front intercooler ones which I'll leave for now) and the result of all the boost hose clamps being tightened up is, f*** all.
No extra boost recorded, it feels exactly as it did before. Glad I...
At almost 22k miles I've decided I really should check the boost pipe clamps on mine...there's many reports (albeit it in the US of A) of them being/working loose and there's useful gains in boost when they're all pinched up. Need a variety of 7mm sockets/spanners/universal joints and tiny hands...
FoS was truly incredible in the beginning, I've been going since year one, I straw bale and some orange tape between steel poles, epic place. there's not many cars I've yet to see.
Where did the GT-R lose it?
Out of the chicane is a popular place, or off at Madgwick on the last session?
There's no need for me to calm down, what I posted was posted in jest and meant to be taken as such!
I was just countering the standard comments that surface on topics like this, just like CUB 's above, questioning intelligence levels of those that don't have it fitted.
A similar argument...
Yep. Because that Renault designed non-descript looking piece of alloy will stop any damage to the fuel lines and/or system entirely in the event of any type of front end smash.
Won't it?
This.
Last time, when you had this exact same problem, and when the AA told you to take it to a garage, what did the garage you took it to say or do to fix your car?
Can't you just take it back to them now it's become an annoyance?
To me the N5 camera is fairly decent.
Decent enough for images on a forum, not decent enough for formal wedding pictures.
The speaker's a bit rubbish too. Those are the only downsides if you can call them that.
Pressure wash, Wonder Wheels Hot Wheels, pressure wash, Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover, pressure wash, Farecla G3 wash, pressure wash, dry, Autoglym Super Resin Polish, Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, Collinite 476S.
I know that's not the ideal products and or the internetz approved process...
So today after almost 5,000 miles on them it was time to rotate the 'new' Bridgestone RE050s around. Starting off with 7.5 mm when new, today, before swapping them around, they were;
Front left - 4.6 mm
Front right - 5.0 mm
Rear left - 6.4 mm
Rear right - 6.4 mm
Compared to my Clios the...
Did they swap your wheels around while they were at it?
Your rear right is rotating the wrong way...standing water will be a nightmare, very dangerous!
Nice seats!
Can't say I have an opinion really, don't really know a single thing about them!
Does it go OK?
What engine's in it?
Edit: just checked, 1.6 turbo with overboost...so it'll be close to 200bhp I'd have thought?
Wasn't the engine in the Nissan Delta Wing the 1.6 unit from the Clio...that iirc Fred was saying could or did run well over 300bhp on standard (or close to) internals?
On the Fiesta I know that there's a couple of 'packages' out there right now claiming to give 300 bhp...although time will...
Ditchfinder tyres maybe? It did look like he was really struggling with it!
He he he. Short, quiet, clear sighted, good surface, no side roads/junctions etc. and a Shell garage to top back up once you've run dry LOL It's perfect!
That's all well and good were it not for the fact that the owner confirmed to me he absolutely wasn't playing with me at all.
Think about it...his power to weight is only circa 10% higher than mine, he couldn't get it turned in (I'm not saying you or anyone else couldn't or wouldn't), he...
OK, I concede, lack of traction was not the most accurate way of describing a car's inability to get its power down due to taking so long to get turned in and back on the power from weighing half a ton more. Is that better?
Only on CS would someone disregard a cars ability to get traction as being relevant when comparing two cars!
Did you not notice me coming off the throttle half way along each straight? Did you notice what happened when I didn't?
Fcuk it, I'd better go stage 11 as well.
Exactly!
I don't actually ever take mine out because I park on my drive in a quiet village, or I park in a private car park within 5 metres of my office window.
If I were to park somewhere where I felt there was a risk I'd probably remove the front one though. The rear one is not visible...
A little cheating in my part here, two audio sources on the clip, one from in the cabin, the other from beneath the bonnet.
I mixed the two a little too heavy on the side of the engine bay one so it's all a bit too much ptshhhh.
