LOL, you're wrong.
I'm 43 and 3/4 and I go out once at a week minimum.
Why?
Because I enjoy driving. I enjoy trying to be a better driver. I enjoy the feeling of being connected to my car and flowing down the road as one.
Nowhere near McDs though...I'm fortunate enough to have the South...
Is it?
I thought it was more of a general lottery...abused ones can be fine and equally, gently treated ones can fail without notice.
On my 200 which I ran from 18k to 42k miles I always rev-matched and focussed on being smooth and treated it with sympathy. Having done that I still had no...
3yrs? I'm sure I've seen pictures before of yours without the italics...I thought they must have been a recent addition. The last thing a V needs is anything to draw attention to it, its outrageous looks and building arches are more than enough! Love the flame red :D
Just what exactly do you think Renault have covered that 'really decent steering wheel' with? Leather?
LOL
See above Martin_172 's post above, my 172 Cup and my 200 both did this...and was a factor in me not being able to bring myself to buy a 200T.
How can you spend that much money on a...
Don't they? You've just got standard foam and the compressor I guess?
i didn't originally order it but I'm quite glad mine ended up coming with the space saver wheel and jack.
I have to admit this was another reason for me wanting to move away from my 200. Despite my mechanical sympathy and taking the time to always rev-match it's apparent that the life of the synchros is an absolute lottery. To many stories of four-figure sums to repair and replace for me!
Re: 1M Akrapovic
I thought it was all about how it felt, the fact that it positively urges you to go sideways through every kink in the road, is a proper hooligan etc.
I don't recall that being written about the latest few iterations of M3.
How do they differ? Does a proper snow-foam lance work differently? I thought it was just about the bottle foaming up and it being drawn out with the passing pressurised water...hence me thinking a better snow-foam might thicken it up some.
Some simple general advice required here chaps...
A dying Nilfisk has driven me back to Karcher and I picked up their K4 compact + 'lance' as well. Is what it does what I should expect or should it dwell longer?
If it should be thicker, is it the lance at fault or cheap ass foam I'm using?
As said by philmots I think it's purely down to usable torque. What it gives you amplified by the gearbox ratios is enough to break traction depending on circumstances.
My run in first gear in the video, straight line, good surface, stayed hooked up all the way through. Throw in a less smooth...
A thread on FiestaSTOC prompted me to make this...
...while I was at it I also managed to capture this...
Quite surprised at how much it holds the boost back in 1st...does explain why it feels almost as quick in 3rd though.
So here I am, one year and 18,542 miles down the line, and the ST so far has been exceptional. With the prospect of another four years and 80k miles still to go in it I couldn't be happier.
Highlights for me? The seats. The steering (quick rack!). The voice control SYNC system. The economy...
Re: 1M Akrapovic
I collected mine from the dealership one year and 18,000 miles ago tomorrow. It still excites me as if it's a new car when I go out to climb in it. I still drive it for an hour just for the hell of it. I still love playing with it on quiet country roads. I still love the fact I...
I filled up last night and had a mega careful 100 mile drive today into town to get some documents signed, then to work, then home via a mate's.
So that's 99.9 showing on the trip with 410 miles still remaining and an indicated 49.9.
:D
Not as good as the official figures would have you believe.
Published combined figure on the NA Clio 200 is 34mpg, and over 18 months and 24k miles I averaged 34mpg.
Published combined figure on the Fiesta ST is 47.9mpg, and over 12 months and 18k miles on the exact same commute as the 200...
