Not at all! For the record I'm very pro-Apple myself, I like their products, I like their build quality, I like their UI.
But I can see beyond that and see that there are real alternatives out there, genuine alternatives that from a UI perspective have caught up and surpassed what Apple have to...
All valid points, I'm not saying they're perfect, but I can genuinely see them as being part of the mainstream future and hardware improvements will address a lot of the issues you've highlighted.
Will be interesting to look back into this thread in 5 years time. I have my humble pie ready...
How is this any different to the comparison of spending £300 on an iPad which does exactly (less actually) what your laptop does so well? Why would you buy one? All it gives you is convenience and speed in a slightly watered down version of what you already have...the same as these 'watches' do...
I use both pure Android (Nexus 5) and iOS (5C) on a daily basis...I find comments of Android not being intuitive perplexing.
It's different, of course, but give it as much time as it originally took you to get your head around iOS and it's on a par and even better if you like fiddling with s**t.
Exactly. Owning and rarely showing off an expensive trinket doesn't make you a watch person as such.
Or maybe it does? My dad owns a car, he hardly ever uses it, pointless for him to own really, it cost a few quid though. Is he a car person?
With Google Drive and Play I genuinely need zero onboard storage. Don't write Android off just on that.
Agree about the screen though, any bigger than my Nexus 5 and it'd piss me off.
I agree with Nik, a few years down the line I think it likely we'll all be looking back believing them to be the best thing ever.
I don't get the hate for the appearance; compared to some of the vulgar monstrosities in the watches thread they look quite elegant and refined. The Moto X for...
Comparing sizes my Nexus 5 is as good as identical to the 6...that's as big as I would want/need to go to. The 6+ is just too big for a day-to-day phone IMO.
My wife's already decided that once she trashes her 5C she's having a 6+ though.
I've dabbled with 120 on track a little and my girls on their trampoline. It has it's uses, but having 240 is hardly a stand out must have feature IMO.
I didn't want to depreciate it straight line as that's not how it works in reality. I think my flaw is that I used the actual price I paid as the starting point and not the RRP, hence it being so low now.
If I started with the rrp of be nearer the figures suggested.
...and arguably a massive, even extortionate, one at that.
Making a profit is one thing, openly and blatantly fleecing people while being able to convince them to blindly open their wallets is another and shows that despite a lack of innovation, the Apple marketing machine is still successfully...
