As reported in a other thread when dropping my subframe I manage to sheer 13mm bolts that hold the small triangle support brackets in place. I manage to drill out one of the bolts, but one of the others threads has been over bored. The bolt is located in the subframe where there is no way of...
Update, I manage to get the gearbox and engine split with the subframe dropped, what a b*****d of a job manage to shear 4 bolts including 1 front and one rear subframe bolts....
So, I found out what the problem was...I think this is prob one of my biggest mechanical **** ups, I found a washer...
Done it now, used the longer bolts and used a heavy duty G-clamp, worked a treat.
p.s the subframe was on but wishbones was off, so made it a bit easier, I also have the ARB tied up to take up the slack from the C clamps.
Cheers guys will try the methods later.
Addaman, its the inner ones, you need a goose neck spanner and a normal one to get to the bolts, but putting the C clamps on is a hole new experience.
A long with spinning rear sub frame bolt, im having lots of fun lol
Today I changed I replaced the inner and outer FARB bushes to poly bushes, managed to release the inside ones, but having difficulty trying to put the bolt back into the C clamp, I have measured the bushes and they are the correct parts. Any tips on how to do this easily?
Cheers
