i wouldn't bother getting it fixed... explain to the guy what you have been quoted and try and settle for something like £100-£150 for the dent - by your own admission the car isn't going to win any shows anyway! if you come to sell the car you won't get full mint price for it but at least...

tyres - it amazes me that no-one keeps an eye on these, especially considering the 3 points and fine you can get for each illegal tyre cambelt - to be expected for the age of the car brake fluid contamination - just unlucky tbh but on the plus side, tyres will be cheap - looks like you have...

as i posted on clio197... my R27 had a rusted subframe but Renault decided to replace the seat too... now my old seat wasn't wanted by Renault so it went free to one of the other mechanics/service staff (not sure as everyone was battling for it)... i wouldn't be surprised if this is a similar...

could also be bushes as my Golf was doing very similar... i would hazard a guess that it is suspension related and you need to find someone who knows what they're doing to do a proper 4 wheel alignment looking at the camber etc

but even just lowering it on standard wheels will make it look better IMO

wouldn't fall under the illusion that the 197's are better built... mine had as many rattles and faults in 10k as the two Trophy's did that i covered similar mileage in... but the interior is a nicer place to be in the 197 imo!

not sure that a M3 would pull off such a loud colour tbh... my mind can be swayed with some decent pictures of non standard colours though!

nope... definitely had one spare key in the house and other was in my wallet which was upstairs in the back bedroom so no key on my person or in the car... it told me that card wasn't detected but the engine was already running by that stage and i was off down the road

i left my card on our fireplace for a week and the car out on the drive... only by sheer chance did i try to unlock the car and it worked... i never left the card on the fireplace again!

yes... though mine used to bleep about keycard not being present... obviously if they stall it the car won't restart though
