Yeah, it was loosely plugged in and that's what was giving me the light. Plugged it in fully and it hasn't come on since.
Done 60+ miles too. Normally it would come on withing 2 mins.
Yeah the bolt was a quick fix. This was trial as I went and put it all back on and tried different things to remove the light.
It has been neater prior to this and will be neater now. Unsure whether I'll loop it or make/buy a proper bung.
Of you do it right, there should be no issues.
I'd tap the holes in the hubs and use loctite anyway.
It's easier when removing wheels as you can just leave the wheel.on the studs/hub once all the nuts are off, as opposed to bolts.
If you want spacers they slide over the studs rather than...
Show me your stud and nut kits.
I don't like having bolts, especially as I take my wheels off regularly. Its so much easier with studs, plus you can rest the wheels on the hubs easier once it's all loose.
If you can, state the length of the studs and spacers size if your running them.
Thanks...
@Jimbob 2705 That's good to know. That would be great if you can mate!
Either PM me, here or Facebook or add pics in your thread and tag me. Don't want to clog up Dan's thread too much!
Cheers Dan!
I will get mine off ebay as well as there very similar to the PMS ones at a over half price. Still high tensile and Allen key ends so I can't see why not.
BMW have the same stud/pitch of M12x1.5 so I'll just phone up and see if he can do 8 of 1 set and 8 of another.
I await your...
@dann2707 Can you show me pics of your studs front and rear?
I want to see what they look like with your spacer setup and how much threads you have left.
I was originally thinking of getting hub spacers but now I'll probably just get 5mm rear wheel spacers as my wheels are wider now, and the...
I love tinkering! Whether things go right or not, it's the 3 fun of doing it. Better if thing go right, obviously! Plus your always learning too.
Liking the regular updates James, even if there small ones. Car looks wicked in the last pic!
Also, for cheapness, the fatty kit is great. Makes a...
I haven't done the ducting yet Dan. I have some thick flexible pipe at work which looks like extraction pipe. It'll work fine but it's grey so I'm unsure it'll look good.
I'll take a pic of what it is anyway.
I might make a curved deflector plate out of aluminium and rivet it to the outside of...
I've done it all Chris. In fact, I even plugged it all back in to standard tonight and still no luck.
When I first plugged in a resistor, it was burnt after a few days. Im now wandering if I've ruined the plug somehow amd now the fault remains? Otherwise I have no clue!
Cheers Rob.
I'm thinking of getting 75mm on the rear (may run a 5mm spacer) and 83mm on the front (running the same 15mm spacers you've got)
That way, it'll give me the extra threads I'll need.
I currently have the bass ports brake ducts and wanted to see what people have done with there's, both outside and inside.
How have they got round the carbon cannister/horns and what have they done to cool the brakes.
