@bloke Yeah that has been mentioned. Also longer springs have also been mentioned.
I'm ging to swap the rears over with standard shocks/cooksports to see if it's still there. This will clarify if it's shock related or not.
@OssPoop It's definitely not the trim. That would be heard/seen from...
No it can all be removed. All you need to do is bung up the pipe that goes from the inlet to the acoustic valve, otherwise you'll have an air leak/high revs.
Perfect! I can still go ahead and get it aligned in the morning then.
I wont ever be adding camber/toe. Maybe 5mm hub spacer but not yet. I just didnt want to pay to have the car aligned then have to remove the rear shocks then get it aligned again. I dont really want to be driving longer than...
Ive planned to have the car aligned tomorrow but as some of you may know, i have a knocking rear somewhere.
My question is: If i have the alignment done and then i need to adjust/remove my rear shocks, will this alter it? Vaguely remember reading the rear is fixed so this wont be an issue, but...
Ive never had an issue with them before. I know there is better out there but i cant say its these for sure.
They are tight. Just out of interest do you now the correct torque setting?
I've checked everything and it's all tight and as it should be.
Is there a chance it's actually the new shocks? This is the coilover type as opposed to the separate shock/spring.
Better!
Just read the above comments about prices to there women! That's OK, but unfortunately my misses knows how much all this sh*t costs so I can't even lie!
It's like the council, 1 work and 2 watch!!
Video 1 & 2 is around our area, video 3 is around a nearby industrial estate then on the road and turning into our area.
You can hear it well on 40ish seconds upwards on video 3.
Its a loose, knocking noise and i dont know what it is or even where its coming from.
Car has had new discs (genuine) with all new spacers correctly fitted and done up to the correct setting. 175nm.
It has brand new Gaz "full" coilovers all round. I have fitted them fully, and i even removed...
Piss easy mate.
Remove the front bumper, unplug the acoustic valve from the plug, (that can be cable tied away) and remove the air pipe. This can be cut down but it needs to be plugged up with a bolt or something as itll create a air leak. I cut mine down, fed it through the engine hoist cradle...
What ones are needed for the replica spoilers?
Unsure if the reps are the same as genuine ones but I do know my spoiler doesn't hit the roof once fully opened.
Vaguely remember reading it was a BMW one?
Thanks James. I also agree regarding spacers. Check out the previous page ;)
@Jimbob 2705
I have a knocking noise from the rear. I know it's not the suspension as it did this with the old shocks, plus these are new. Sounds like something is loose in the boot. Will need to look into that. It...
Thank you mate. It's got a kind of subtle mortorsport look to it, without going ott.
Not that I know of Scott. Don't know many owners apart from Jamie the previous owner.
