Re: 172 with an unknown direction
Nice project! Like the improvements, especially the detailing stuff, surprising what a good clean will do to the look of a car.
I would say it's worth it too.
I borrowed a mates kit, so I just paid for the unlock code. Probably the best £40ish Ive spent on the car.
It smooths the idle out too, and the increased rev limiter is scary too! Mine redlines at 7800 now!
If they are well looked after, they should never have problems.
But be aware that the big expensive service is at around 60,000 miles or 5 years old. (I think!)
They are everyday cars, so expect normal mileage on them, I think around 10k per year is about average, although that's probably gone...
There was one for sale for £95 in the for sale section, not sure if its sold though.
Or you could see if anyone near you would be kind enough to lend you their kit, and all you need is the unlock code :)
For those people who have done it, any idea on a rough cost?
When I do mine, I will need primer, and then two coats of paint, but Im not sure how many cans I will need :)
Sounds immense. Seen quite a few of your videos :)
Do you have any tips for the fog light -> cooling duct conversion, Im going to do mine soon and wondered what the tricky parts were :)
