LOL! ok calm down ;)
I've still got everything Ive taken out so far, so I'll bring some proper scales from work one evening when I've taken everything out.
What's the definition of full strippage? ;)
Fine! I'll do it this afternoon!! :)
Are there any bits that I have to take care of not ripping/damaging the carpets or linings?
I will be keeping all the bits I take out just incase I ever want to put it all back in again :)
Also, any advice for the tar? Ive got a heatgun and a chisel - will...
That's why Im REALLY tempted.
I dont use the car for daily commute
I dont mind the extra noise etc.
I dont have kids/wife that I need to think of too
I have no plans of getting rid of the car anytime soon (if ever! ;))
You only live once!!
And then think you much you would have to spend to get that extra power from the engine?!
Matched inlets, remap etc. The cost all adds up!
And weight removal is all FREE!
Well the best real world example Ive seen where a stripped car is quicker is when me and Burp had a little play once. His car is sub 900kgs, and mine is almost standard weight. He has 3bhp more (confirmed on RR), but because of his lighter car, he was able to pull away from me by quite a...
I might do mine, as Ive seen it asked quite a lot. And I'll weigh all the sound proofing etc too.
I know it sounds a bit geeky, but Im sure it'll be useful to some people :)
lol! You can edit your posts all you want, pretty sure you realise you wrong now.
Im off now, im going to take some more bits out of my car to get an extra 1mph top speed!
I think it was quite obvious I wasnt referring to F1 cars lol. Pretty sure they dont come with AC and CD players as standard ;)
What about Clio cup racers?
Sorry to keep going on other chaps, Im quite enjoying this! :)
Sorry then, but everyone in this thread apart from you are trying to have a normal discussion, and you just keep coming in with total rubbish.
If you havent got anything to contribute, just dont post anything!
To those 'mocking' this weight saving, have you taken out these items and tried to life them all up!? They're bloody heavy, the rear bench is surprisingly heavy too for what it is!
I've done this too.
Removed the rear bench, and I starting to strip the interior now too. I think I can justify it now Im starting to do more trackdays :)
I'll be replacing the Recaros with some lighter buckets soon too! Cant wait!
Before I read the previous posts, first thing I though was how much that looks like a corsa VXR. Not really a bad thing in my book, but still very similar!
